βΆ 001. TIMES ARE CHANGING.
LILITH had to make haste. With fragile infrastructure beginning to crumble, it's obvious that the source of destruction had been disturbed. With the ocular devices upgraded, the ancient text on the book gave some clues. The keys to the book were successfully retrieved by Taryon, Hikaru, Megumi, Toji, Yuji, Bakugou, Todoroki and Raidou.
The book struggled to translate, but several Outsiders found a clue.
Taryon found the following clue: "Humans have destroyed our planet with their greed. Because of this, we will reclaim our land once more. Only beast will walk the Earth."
Marcille found the next one: "There is no way to live in harmony with humans. They will be destroyed, or become one with us as a beast."
Then Yesod: "We will not rest until Earth is ours once more. This is my commandment. I am your god; you will do as I say or be annihilated, such as the human race."
Toji: "Once mankind no longer exists, it will be paradise on the Earth once more. It will return to a perfect state, such as the Garden of Eden."
And Dirk: "CHALKYDRI."
All of this could only mean one thing: The kaiju of Enoch, an angelic being, was going to reclaim the Earth from humans who had caused the Earth to decay. He would surrender the land back to the monsters who first inhabited it long before the human race walked the Earth. This would restore harmony between beast and the Earth, but this also meant it would eventually wipe out humanity. There is only one thing left to do.. go back in time as early as possible and destroy the Chalkydri before it continues to wreak havoc.

βΆ 002. THE FINAL COUNTDOWN.
With the power that she has left, Gwen uses her rift ability one last time. She takes the Outsiders as early in time as she is allowed to, pinpointing exactly to the Chalkydri and it's powerful presence. We are back to the Garden of Eden, but a much earlier period; before any humans ever walked the Earth. Outsiders may catch a glimpse of creatures and animals they have never seen before. Unlike before, all animals and beasts are living peacefully amongst one another. If you wanted to pet some kind of dinosaur, now is your chance, as they are all gentle. This is before man came into the picture.
Gwen heads to the same ruin as before, but it looks.. pristine. Perfect, even. Down the winding staircase she leads, leading them directly to the Chalkydri and it's lair once more. It's almost like it has expected everyone's arrival.
"You've come from the future to stop me... to stop me from recreating this peaceful world before there were humans. I will accept your challenge," it says with a voice that is both feminine and masculine.
The battlefield is a dungeon held up by pearly white pillars, sunlight trickling in through an open hole of the lair. The fight is intense, as characters suffer solar burns and even matter manipulation which turn them into kaiju and other monsters, but eventually, the Outsiders have banned together to weaken the creature. Despite it's ethereal presence, it is mortal to a certain extent.
The one to deliver to final blow and put an end to all of this is Raidou Kuzunoha. The creature fades into dust, and all grows still. Those who were turned into a monster may have a brief moment of feral monster to them, but eventually, their human conscience breaks through. They will be treated at the surface of the ruins by LILITH staff with the antidote that they used before from Ereshkigal's blood.
"Something has changed," Gwen begins, "and I believe it is our future which feels brighter."
With that, Gwen provides an ample rift to take everyone back to LILITH's base in the current year, 2279.

As everyone enters a kaiju made rift for the last time, they will not feel nausea or any other side effects, but an overwhelming sense of joy, even if they have no felt it in a long time. When they arrive in Neo Tokyo.. the arrive in not the LILITH base, but.. an empty warehouse. Without the Chalkydri to lead the other kaiju, to use its rifts to send other monsters to attack the Earth, there is no need for LILITH. What's to become of Neo Tokyo now?
As the Outsiders open the warehouse, the city looks very familiar.. but it looks more.. green and filled.. with a lot more people. The missing people. There is no longer only one third of humanity left, but humanity if flourishing.
As for Captain Yamakawa, Seok Dang, and the rest.. perhaps you will bump into one of them on the streets of Neo Tokyo if you decide to stick around. Yamakawa works for a Special Ops Police Force and Seok Dang makes the best Korean fried chicken at the izakaya across the street.
The future, the present.. it is changed. And it's exactly why LILITH was formed.
It was a success.

This leaves a predicament, though. What's to become of the Outsiders? The angels of LILITH that came from another universe?
A small rift appears, and out of it, steps Eadmund, who instantly joins alongside Gwen. He dips his head in a bow.
"Thank you, for everything you have done to restore peace back to Earth. We will return back to our era and home, but what you decide next is your own fate. You may stay here, as citizens of Neo Tokyo or our combined powers may send you back to a world of your choice. Your own world, or perhaps someone who you cannot be separate from.
A pause.
"The choice is yours. There is no harm either way. You have worked hard, and in return deserve whatever happiness you desire."

Raphael was not the best at the whole researching thing that led them to this point, but he knew that this was it. The other Outsiders figured out the riddles in books with way too many words for his tastes, but if there was one last kaiju to fight? He was there to put fists to work. After all, saving the world was nothing new, even now.
He wished his brothers were here. He felt stronger with them around. But if this was the final fight? He would go out swinging and hope that he could see them again. Or any of the other friends that had come and gone since he was whisked off to Neo Tokyo so many months ago.
But even this feels like a final boss fight in a long standing RPG somewhere - all pearly white and a literal godly dragon? What few hits he managed to get in against the creature left him send sprawling, hitting the dirt and tumbling before he's forcing himself back up with gritted teeth and that stubborn determination that he always has.
"M'okay!" he calls to whichever Outsider notes his turtle shaped crater in the dirt, though he holds one of his arms. The mystic avatar he usually uses is winking out at the side he took the hit at, his green skin burnt and bubbling with obvious forming blisters. "Try ta stay out of that attack's line of sight...ow ow ow..."
[02 - Back To The Future]
With the final fight done, it's a bit strange to come back to Neo Tokyo and...LILITH and the base are gone? It's almost like it didn't exist at all?
"What the...?"
The big alligator snapper can't help but rush off to take a peek outside, though he stays inside just in case. Things are...different. Greener! And there's way more people???
He grins and in the rush of excitement of the team's success - he's scooping up the nearest Outsider and giving them a squeezing hug.
"WE DID IT!!!"
[03 - Farewells]
As much as Neo Tokyo was a part of his life for the last year or so, it wasn't New York City. People came and went, even within LILITH's base, and when asked what to do now? Stay or go?
He's going to go.
His family's still back home, waiting. He misses them so, so much, but he'd be lying if he wasn't going to miss the people he met here either. Raphael might not have known all of them well, given the old lessons of staying out of the way or out of sight of humans, but the ones he did know he appreciated a lot.
He finishes with the last of his things, gathering what little he had here: the little paper mache goat he got from Tanabata, a cleaned and kept bag with ribbon that once held some raspberry donuts from a dear friend, and a few little trinkets from the turtle festival after he got the last hit on one of the kaiju from what feels like ages ago.
A pack over his shoulder, he knows it'll be time to go soon, but he perks up when someone approaches.
"Here to see me off?" he asks, still smiles despite his healing and bandaged arm from the fight with Chalkydri.

π₯ β COUNTDOWN. - Battle
[How the hell were they to handle this revelation? The rifts, the kaiju, all of it was the result of some goddamn "god" monster trying to reclaim what it saw was rightfully its own. Che, some megalomaniac creatures who saw creation happen, decided it didn't like what was happening, and determined to wipe out the problem. He's faced off against nihilistic claimants like this before. People who see everything as "bad" and feel the only option is a complete restart, screw what exists at the moment.
Yeah, there's shit all over the world. People suck, crime happens, suffering exists, tears flow, and sadness runs its course. But focusing only on those painful things is a crap ass way to live! If you spend your entire life looking down on others and tunnel visioning the problems, you'll never see the benefits and positives of the world. This stupid ass dragon's blinded by its own pride and hubris.
Bakugo, resplendent in his hero costume, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, locks the huge safety lever on his grenade-shape gauntlet and faces off against the creature who spend the past century trying and failing to make humanity vanish from the face of Earth. Red eyes narrow within the darkness of his mask, sparks burst and crackle around his hand, defiantly standing against the "creator" who dares judge the future.]
Pera pera pera. Running your mouth about human destruction while you add to it. Save that kind of shit talk until after you've killed us and make the world yours! Bring it on, you pasty scaled worm! I'll murder you myself!
π₯ β COUNTDOWN. - Beast
[All he remembers was a beam of light. Thought he dodged it. Thought he avoided it. World and surroundings washed out in brilliance, a single thought-- shit! --being his sole remaining mental residence. He's in there. Somewhere. Buried beneath crackling black scales and red quill-like feathers. Who the hell knows what their final opponent intended when firing those beams off. He knows only one thing: destroy to protect! Those who remain might be familiar with the screeching roar billowing up to the skies as the King of All Kaiju stomps the ground beneath him into flat gravel. Was it because Bakugo had been friends with Godzilla before he went home? Was it admiration for someone strong? Or his own drive to become the greatest. Ask him later. But right now, focus on dodging because Dynamight has taken the "God" part of his name and make it reality! Godzilla charges into battle, friend or foe be damned! Energy collects in his maw, a mixture of the kaiju's normal blue beam and the hero's own orange explosions. *KRAZOOM!!* One second, the scoured path sizzles behind his beam's sweep; the next, the entire line ruptures in explosions!
1) Bakugo's current Godzilla transformation renders him completely careless to ally or enemy, so he can easily be goaded into attacking CHALKYDRI.
2) Thankfully he's not the same size as Godzilla, shrunk down to about 4m (12ft), so is easier to handle.
3) His stamina is nowhere near the same as the King of All Kaiju; it won't take more than a few blows to the head or chest to knock the sense back into him and revert the transformation.]
βΆ 003. BACK TO THE FUTURE.
π₯ β FUTURE. - Arrival
[They didn't return to their normal city? Bakugo emerges from the rift with surprise written all over his face. For a moment, he wonders if Gwen sent them to another time or world. A complete fuck up at the very end! ... But no, even among the changes, he recognizes a landmark or two. This is Neo Tokyo, not as it was, but as it should have been. The dragon had worried and raged over humanity spoiling the Earth, yet look at it now. Green and flourishing. He steps forward, leaving the warehouse behind with the other Outsiders around him. Those who remain.
Their base is no longer here. LILITH was never formed. It feels weird, as if he were waking up in this new world the first time all over again. Unlocking one of his Grenadier Bracers, he pulls the gear off his arm and tucks it under his limb against his side. If LILITH isn't here, then who the hell are they reporting to? What happened to all their things? They life they created for themselves over the past two and a half years. Did that get wiped out too?]
Now what? Those bastards yanked the rug out from under us again.
[Though that said... he's still damn proud of taking down the Big Boss!]
βΆ 004. FAREWELL, OUTSIDERS.
π₯ β FAREWELL. - Staying Put
[He knew this was going to happen. After everything was said and done, going home was always going to be on the table. How the hell could it not be when LILITH sent people home all the time? Bakugo felt better after discovering the LILTIH base had indeed survived, but rather in a different state and manner. Their possessions remained, though maybe some rooms had shifted around, their memories were still here, even if some in Neo Tokyo wouldn't remember them, he's still got his car and motorcycle (for example) and his room's a collection of all the items and accessories he'd gathered over his life in Neo Tokyo.
Standing in the base common room, he mingles with the Outsiders who remained. Not only did they save the world, they changed the future, creating a new place that would need protecting, but also no longer faced the ravages of getting back to its feet. They have the chance to live a good and full life here. As much as Bakugo cares for his life back home, it won't be going on ahead without him. The war home is over, he's made it past and survived... and there are people here he has no intention of abandoning. His fiance, his best friend, his close companions whom he'll never admit this to their faces.
One hand in his pocket, Bakugo clicks his tongue and rolls a shoulder.]
Aa. I'm staying here. My world's not going anywhere. And I've got people to live for here.
[Besides, they'll all go back home eventually, once they grow old and croak in this world.]
