(The fun thing about being taken and thrown into a new place is no one really knows you so when Tsurumaru Kuninaga is missing from dinner, he's sure no one really notices. Eventually someone will learn that whenever he's missing for too long, he's probably up to something if he doesn't actually have something to do.

He returns some time towards the end of dinner, when most people have probably begun to settle a bit for the evening. He stumble-dashes back to the base with an armful of plastic shopping bags and oooh he is definitely up to something…)

& SET UP

In the Everlight wing, they need to do some ☆re-arranging☆. Some desks and chairs need to be borrowed from rooms to drag outside for the food. While they're at it, they might as well grab the blankets and pillows too. They might also have to figure out what appropriate music to play. So maybe someone knocks on your door to commandeer your furniture and time. Or maybe they figure out a way to play music so everyone can hear and you end up drawn out by music.

Maybe you get sent out to buy more snacks and drinks for everyone while you're standing around with nothing to do. Let's go, Everlights. It's time to drag people into early shenanigans.

& FOOD & GAMES

There is plenty of food to be found. Check out the mixed bottles of different flavored sodas and teas, assorted chocolates, and other sweets from the convenience stores. Eventually, a couple of pizzas and a few more substantial things might show up on the table. Some of them are traditional flavors characters will be used to seeing but others may… be more out there. There sure are a lot of more experimental foods combinations in the future, huh? Have you ever tried coffee-flavored water? Yogurt-flavored potato chips? Flaming hot lava chocolate? What about calamari Oreo pizza? Well, now is your chance.

There are also stacks of playing cards and maybe some other silly toys and games from whatever is the equivalent of a dollar/pound store in the future.The 100 Kryptos store? Which version of UNO do you know how to play? Do you know how to play Werewolf or Mafia? There are plenty of bottles to spin. Give someone a call and see if they answer or else you have to eat one of those cursed pizza slices. Of course, when enough people gather around, there are plenty of other ways to make your own fun.

& CHILL

For more introverted characters that might want a quieter place to hang out, some Everlight has probably left their room open. Pillows and blankets have been piled into the room to make it a quieter, more laidback place to hang out. When was the last time you made a pillow fort?

Hello, Tsuru gets bored easily and he wants everyone to have ☆good vibes☆ because bad vibes make him sad so he is steamrolling and dragging people into slumber party shenanigans. It's in the Everlight wing but other characters can hop over if they're curious or dragged in. I asked the mods about the potential consequences of staying the night and they said it would be fine for the slumber party so go wild.

[Sorry, Tsurumaru, but this kid is one of the most unflappable people you're ever going to meet. For a moment, he just blinks at him.]

[He looks around the inside of the fort, past Tsurumaru. After a moment, he decides to come in and sit down. it's his room, after all.]

Did you make this?

... Boo.

(Lame. There was no reaction at all and he doesn't even try to hide his disappointment. He shuffles over some to give his new companion some space. )

Hmm... Most of it was done when I came. I just made it nicer.

It's pretty good. [Raidou grabs a pillow to hold on to, just because.]

It's in my room, though. I guess I'm staying here tonight. Was your plan to just trying to scare people with it?

[It's neat fort and all, but... why?]

Surprise, not scare.

(And he reaches out to boop him on the nose because that helps make his point.)

[Now that surprises him. Nose boops are not a thing he gets. Well, except from Gouto-douji sometimes.]

I don't think a lot of people would see a difference.

Being scared is no good but being surprised is good and fun!

(Of course. Obviously.)

[It should be noted that for Raidou, a startled reaction is a quiet noise and a few surprised blinks. That's the most you're going to get from him.]

I stand by what I said.

[Raidou takes the pillow that he grabbed and wraps his arms around it, resting his chin on top. He looks around the fort again, wondering how long he can get away with it in his room. After a moment of quiet, he has a questions.]

This party. It was your idea?

[cranekin]

(It's still cute. He'll take every little reaction he can get.)

They're different, really.

(Really! Ah, but he's going to settle in and lean back on the palms of his hands, relaxing in this fort,)

Hm? Not at all.

(It was his idea but he'll deny it if he can get away with it.)

[the_fourteenth]

Oh?

[He could have sworn that's what someone told him. He gives a light shrug.]

I see. Well, whosever idea it was, it was a good one. This is all, ah, a lot. But we should all get to know each other and get along. It'll help.

[cranekin]

Mhm.

(He just nods along, neither really agreeing or disagreeing,)

Maybe the person behind it just wanted to have fun. Everyone having fun is better than everyone being miserable.

I apologize if I'm not able to summon enough energy for a party. I'm glad the others seem to be enjoying themselves. [There are enough teenagers in this wing to keep the party going for awhile.

He also settles back into the fort a bit, pulling his knees up.]

I like this, though.

... Did you enjoy yourself earlier?

(When he was out there mingling with the others? )

[He thinks this over for a moment before nodding.]

... The food's weird, though. Did you?

[cranekin]

Good.

(Then he considers this a success.)

Hm... I had many surprises tonight including the food so, of course, I had fun.

[the_fourteenth]

Good. [As flatly as that word is delivered, he means it.]

"Surprise" was one word for it. [Raidou wasn't a fan of a lot of of the food. He's figuring he'll just have to get used to it.]

This place is very different than where I'm from. I guess it'll just take some time.

[cranekin]

(Tilting his head to the side,)

Surprises are essential in life. If everything in life is exactly the same and happens as planned, you eventually stop living.

(How old is he? He doesn't look very old. Still a kid as far as he can tell...)

Getting used to things is boring.

[Raidou smiles slightly at that with a nod.]

True... routine is comfortable, but boring. This place, though... Too many surprises at once, maybe.

[A hand goes to his eye where the implant was placed. He's been overwhelmed since he arrived. Everyone else seems more comfortable with things here than he is, though he knows he's not the only one struggling.]

[cranekin]

(Oh, he watches the way his hand moves up to his eye and he understands. It's almost like he's become more aware of his own now and he finds himself leaning in close to Raidou so his face is right in front of his, looking up at him with bright, pale gold eyes.

And yet, even though he's right in his personal space and he doesn't have to look very far... it seems like he is. There's a distance in his eye. Like he's studying Raidou from far away instead of right up in front of him.)

Is it hurting?

[Raidou is taken aback by this move, but he doesn't budge. It's not a threatening move, so he remains still. His silver eyes meet Tsurumaru's gold ones with a few surprised blinks, though, his face redding slightly from the sudden intrusion of his bubble by such a look. He has no idea what to make of this.

All Raidou can manage is a slight shake of the head. His already low voice is even quieter.]

Not anymore.

[cranekin]

(He lingers for a moment as if implying with his closeness, "Are you sure?" But he won't press and he leans back, returning some of Raidou's space to him, though, he is closer now than he was before.)

Good. (Just. "Good.") It's been a while, hasn't it? If it's still bothering you, we should make sure everything is fine.

You only have one body, after all.

(So they should take care of it.)

Ah. No, i-it's fine. It's just... I suppose just the idea that it's there.

[He looks at his right wrist as well, where his other implant is.]

There's nothing like this where I'm from. Nothing much like anything here, really.

(He's listening... and he understands. Even if he isn't showing it outwardly, there are plenty of things on his mind, too.)

(And after a half second, he adds casually,)

(He glances over to where ever Raidou's katana may be. Or the general direction if it's out of sight. )

The age of the sword has long since passed by now.

[That last but gets a hint of a smile from him. How many times has he heard something similar?]

Japan. The Capital. Taishou 20 - 1922. [The Taishou 20 part has been confusing a lot of people, but saying the Gregorian calendar year really makes it no less clear. They wouldn't match up at all.]

And yes, it is, but not for me. It's needed for my work. I'm a summoner.

(For a spirit sensitive to the flow and order of time, it doesn't go unnoticed. He maintains his calm and smile. If he's surprised... he doesn't look it. He muses,)

Taishou 20... I can't say I remember it.

(Because he knows there isn't a Taishou 20 to remember. Regardless of the exact year, by the time the Taishou era came around, he'd already found himself in the emperor's collection. But perhaps equally interesting is what Raidou follows with,)

You're a sword summoner?

[He shakes his head, hesitating a moment. It was still strange to be able to just tell people about this.]

No. Demon summoner. But it's also my greatest tool in fighting them. I can cast purification spells through it. It's my most important tool.

[Another thought has been bothering him. If he fell in battle, the Kuzunoha clan would revoke his title and take back the Mal Fortuna. So why was it here?]
