(The fun thing about being taken and thrown into a new place is no one really knows you so when Tsurumaru Kuninaga is missing from dinner, he's sure no one really notices. Eventually someone will learn that whenever he's missing for too long, he's probably up to something if he doesn't actually have something to do.

He returns some time towards the end of dinner, when most people have probably begun to settle a bit for the evening. He stumble-dashes back to the base with an armful of plastic shopping bags and oooh he is definitely up to something…)

& SET UP

In the Everlight wing, they need to do some ☆re-arranging☆. Some desks and chairs need to be borrowed from rooms to drag outside for the food. While they're at it, they might as well grab the blankets and pillows too. They might also have to figure out what appropriate music to play. So maybe someone knocks on your door to commandeer your furniture and time. Or maybe they figure out a way to play music so everyone can hear and you end up drawn out by music.

Maybe you get sent out to buy more snacks and drinks for everyone while you're standing around with nothing to do. Let's go, Everlights. It's time to drag people into early shenanigans.

& FOOD & GAMES

There is plenty of food to be found. Check out the mixed bottles of different flavored sodas and teas, assorted chocolates, and other sweets from the convenience stores. Eventually, a couple of pizzas and a few more substantial things might show up on the table. Some of them are traditional flavors characters will be used to seeing but others may… be more out there. There sure are a lot of more experimental foods combinations in the future, huh? Have you ever tried coffee-flavored water? Yogurt-flavored potato chips? Flaming hot lava chocolate? What about calamari Oreo pizza? Well, now is your chance.

There are also stacks of playing cards and maybe some other silly toys and games from whatever is the equivalent of a dollar/pound store in the future.The 100 Kryptos store? Which version of UNO do you know how to play? Do you know how to play Werewolf or Mafia? There are plenty of bottles to spin. Give someone a call and see if they answer or else you have to eat one of those cursed pizza slices. Of course, when enough people gather around, there are plenty of other ways to make your own fun.

& CHILL

For more introverted characters that might want a quieter place to hang out, some Everlight has probably left their room open. Pillows and blankets have been piled into the room to make it a quieter, more laidback place to hang out. When was the last time you made a pillow fort?

Hello, Tsuru gets bored easily and he wants everyone to have ☆good vibes☆ because bad vibes make him sad so he is steamrolling and dragging people into slumber party shenanigans. It's in the Everlight wing but other characters can hop over if they're curious or dragged in. I asked the mods about the potential consequences of staying the night and they said it would be fine for the slumber party so go wild.

Treat this as an open mingle and feel free to come up with your own ideas and tag around. If anyone really needs me for anything, you can DM me or catch me on plurk (yosakoi ).

[ To say that Shion is feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything would be a charming understatement, but the only way out is through. Sitting alone in his room does nothing, so when someone asks for help and Shion jumps in perhaps a little too eagerly, all too ready for the distraction. It's possible that he should have asked a couple more questions first.

Which is how he can be found meticulously draping a sheet over some carefully arranged chairs to form something like a low tent. The purpose of this is lost on him, but so are most things at the moment so he's powering through. However focused he might be, though, it won't stop him from tilting his head as he hears someone moving. ]

Careful.

[ Were you about to run straight into a stray chair? Knock over a precarious stack of pizza boxes? Whatever it was, Shion doesn't need to be looking to have your back. ]

[ So this is a slumber party. For the most part, Shion is content to simply sit and listen in on the various activities taking part, but if invited into something he'll gamely try to play along. He might even allow himself to be roped into a card game, but well...

He runs his fingers across the smooth cards he's been handed for along second before tipping his head at someone nearby. ] What do they say?

[ ...perhaps it's best to just leave him with the extremely normal tea he's apparently unearthed from somewhere. He will very happily pour some for anyone who sits still long enough. He'll also politely accept any sort of food thing offered to him without proverbially blinking. But you wouldn't give him anything weird, right? ]

[ Shion is apparently on reasonable adult duty and will mostly be calmly hanging out just about anywhere. Please feel free to make his life difficult. If you want to plan something specific, shoot me a PM! ]

[ Ino happens to be seated next to Shion for the card game they're about to play, and when she glances over and sees how he's holding the cards and feeling over them, she's quick to set her own cards down and attempt to help him be able to play. ]

They've got numbers and symbols on them. ... If you want, we could play as a team? [ Marking the cards in a way that he'd be able to feel would make it too obvious to the rest of the group what's in his hand, but at the very least, she could whisper what each card was to him so he could make the best play. ]

[ He had suspected something like that, but Shion has never had any interest in gambling and hadn't come across them himself very often. Still, everyone seems eager to get into it, and who is he to argue?

He turns towards Ino to offer a small smile. ]

If you don't mind. I'm liable to be quite bad at this. [ Better she's warned upfront? ]

Hey, I just learned the rules too, so who knows how we'll do.

[ While this is not a lie, she is ... a little competitive. It might be hard to resist not getting too involved. Oh well!

She'll forfeit her own hand to whoever's dealing, before scooting closer to take a better look at what he's got. ]

Okay, so ... let's see. [ She'll lean in closer to his ear, and cup a hand over her mouth, so no one can read her lips as she whispers to him. ] From right to left, you have a blue 5, a red skip, a yellow 5, a green 7, and a yellow reverse. You have to match either the color or the number of whatever got played last when you set down a card, so if they don't say it out loud, I'll tell you what they put down, okay?

[ Well, at least they're in it together, then. His eyebrows draw together slightly as she explains his hand to him, fingers tracing over the fronts like he might be able to feel the slightest imprint of the image.

But! She is clearly going above and beyond, so he ducks his head slightly once she's finished. ]

Thank you. [ Not quite a bow, but it's close. ] I'll split any winnings with you, shall I?

[ No, they're not playing for anything, but it's the thought that counts. Probably. ]

[ She laughs. ]

[ he's not about to run into a stray chair, but carrying a pile of pillows to create his own pillow fort (that he hopes he can nap in) can impair one's vision. at the very least, his reflexes keep him from tripping over or dropping any of the pillows onto the sheet now draped over the chair, sidestepping its architect at the same time. ]

[ The voice is familiar, and now that he's focusing a bit more, Shion can make out the rest of the man's shape as well. He offers over a smile in return, though he waits until he has his drapery settled neatly to turn properly towards him. ]

Good evening. And please, help yourself. I'm sure there can't be too much of...whatever this is.

[ Did someone just hand him some sheets and tell him to go work? Possibly. ]

Though I'm sure we can work something out together, if you like.

jing yuan blinks when folded sheets are deposited into his arms with an unspoken assumption that he's there to help with the other man's forth as if he's not at all already carrying pillows to make his own fort. there's a moment where he almost declines but decides against it, sighing with a smile.

he sets his pillows to one side. ]

It's impressive to find so many pillows and sheets if I were to be asked.

[ he doubts even his house back in the xianzhou has this many pillows and sheets. ] Where shall I offer my assistance?

[ There's the briefest pause at Jing Yuan's question before Shion continues his movement to turn back and face the rest of the room. He'd been hoping the other man would know what they're actually meant to be doing here. Alas.

Well, Shion can adapt. ]

Over towards the corner there, maybe? [ He gestures towards the side, not far from where he'd been setting up his own little tent. ] It seems the most defensible.

[ Does it need to be defensible? Someone had mentioned a fort, so why not. ]

but jing yuan's a quick study and he's seen the others build their own; it's mostly the reason why he's also decided to make his pillow fort. as it stands, he needs to assist shion first with his endeavor, something that he doesn't entirely mind.

[After just finishing a game of her own Nobara is leaning in, looking at the cards in his hand, then back up at Shion's face, then back to the cards... is she missing something here?]

[ It's an easy enough admission, and he smiles at her faintly along with it. How anyone managed to talk him into the game in that case is a mystery, but nevertheless. ]

I don't suppose you'd be willing to tell me which numbers?

[ Might not help much, but it'd be a start. ]

[Nobara glances down at the cards, and then back at the guy's face. He doesn't even have his eyes open. Wait, is he....?]

You can't see them at all?

[What kind of scumbag ropes a bling guy into a game of poker?? Of it's ON now, she is going to make it her mission to take them DOWN.]

[She taps one of the cards- a three.]

[ He gives a thoughtful sort of hum but doesn't hesitate to put the card she'd gestured to down when called on. It's a low stakes sort of trust, maybe, but they have to start somewhere. They are going to be fighting together eventually, after all.

Since that seems to be the completion of his turn for the moment, Shion nods back in her direction. ]

Thank you. I hope I'm not interrupting your turn.

[ It's going to be a short game if she's playing for both of them, but it's not like he'd do any better on his own. He does sound remarkably unconcerned about the whole thing, though. It's the experience, whether he loses miserably or not. ]

[if it ends up being only the two of them left it will make for an awkward game, but for now Nobara's only concern is kicking the ass of whatever moron here thought this would make for a fair game. The rounds proceeds, each player taking or swapping cards until it's Nobara's turn and she makes her own move until it's back to Shion again.]

We're playing this specific version where you get to swap a total of two cards if you want to. You don't have to, but I would if I were you.

[She taps one of his cards- a two- Because he already has a King and maybe another swap can give him something better..]

[Having just won another set of cards at another table, Bakugo's retired to the food area for a refill on drink. Emerging with his bottle to his lips, he happens to catch sight of the silver-haired guy at another table. On the one hand, the guy's obviously blind, so why the fuck would some lowlife rope him into a game of cards for fuck's sake? On the other hand, Bakugo's not the type to underestimate someone based on an obvious handicap.

So at least he'll watch for a few minutes to see whether the guy's able or not. Aaand there he goes, asking someone nearby what the card says. Fuck, that's no way to play. He's got balls for trying, but come on.

When the round ends, Bakugo slams down a cup on the table, five die rattling inside it.]

We're changing games.

[ Shion tips his head as the cup thunks down against the table, then turns towards the rather forceful young man behind it with a faintly amused arched eyebrow. Well, that's one way to solve the issue. ]

I would presume so. But may I?

[ He holds out a hand to see if Bakugo will let him test one of the dice. Hard not to have run into a game or two in passing, but he's never actually tried to read any of them himself over the years. Maybe the markings won't be deep enough to register in his perception, but he should almost certainly be able to feel for them. Worth testing. ]

[He seems to have already predicted this and as soon as Shion holds his hand out, Bakugo drops a die into it. They're the basic normal die one would get at a convenience store, but black with white dots. Not that it matters to a blind guy. Since they're new, the depressions of the dots are quite apparent and should feel clearly on Shion's fingers.

At least this means he won't be asking people over and over for the card faces, which is a shit way to play. Not competitive at all if everyone knows your hand.]

We're playing Greed. [Aka: Farkle or any of its other similar/synonymous names.] You gather points based on what shows on five dice after you roll.

[ He does, in fact, roll the die around in his hand to get a feel for it, but Shion's attention is more on what he can sense from it in other ways. The impressions on the sides are faint but barely readable if he concentrates, and of course readily apparent to the brush of his fingers.

That will do nicely. His mouth ticks up as he offers the cube back to Bakugo. ]

That sounds reasonable enough, though I admit to not having played before. Will you go easy on me?

[ Judging by the attitude so far, he's betting not. It doesn't bother him much, but it is a bit funny. ]

[It's better than trying to feel up a playing card that would only read "smooth" on all sides. They're not fancy enough for textured surfaces on gas-station Uno cards. Bakugo waits to see what the verdict will be on the die. Apart from cards and die, maybe there are some coin games, but hell if this motley assortment is going to be able to agree on how or what's played.

Good. Bakugo takes the die back and drops it in the cup.]

Tch. Ask luck. [It's got nothing to do with skill. Just luck and your own guts.] Now listen up.

You roll five dice. 1's are worth 100 points. 5's are worth 50 points. The rest are worth shit.
Unless there are three of a kind; then they're worth a hundred times their face value. Three 2's are 200 points.
A straight, such as a 1, a 2, a 3, a 4, and a 5, or a 2, a 3, a 4, a 5, and a 6, are worth 750 points.
Once you roll, you can remove any number of 1's and/or 5's you get, minimum of one, then roll the rest again.
If you roll and get no 1's or 5's, your turn ends and whatever points you accumulated, you lose.
If you want to stop, you keep what points you've gathered and your turn ends.

[ There's a pause as Shion considers that. And then a moment longer to ponder over the bottle Ren is holding is well. Is that how coffee is served? Isn't it meant to be warm? ]

I can't say I've tried it.

[ But what's one more brand new experience? He holds out his hand a second later, willing to accept whatever Ren hands him. ]

[When Shion holds out his hand, Ren passes over the bottle without question. Even though he really should question it. Because it's candied maple bacon with shiitake mushroom flavor.]

[ Those are quite a few options Ren has suggested, but it's a bit too late to back out now. At least without being incredibly impolite about it. What was that about new things?

He's survived worse. It takes him a moment to feel for how to get the top of the thing off, but with that managed, there's nothing left to do but to take a test drink.

It's a good thing he's had a lot of training at being impassive, because he somehow manages to keep his expression flat. ]
