WHO: March 7th, various WHAT: May catch-all! ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN (hmu up for starters if you'd like anything!) WHERE: All around WHEN: The month of May WARNINGS: None yet!
It would make sense, but it's just me and the genius guy and some con artist, not anyone helpful like our navigator or our jack-of-all-trades or our guard or our...

I understand that kaiju come in all different shapes and sizes. So the smaller ones that can get away faster and require a more swift and silent approach to take down probably don't fare well against you.
At least this organization seems to have good net-spread in that regard, if they're accounting for all different sorts of combat.
[ He puts a pin in 'ice' there, because he's definitely going to circle back to that one. ]
I'm very used to combat. Experience that's both unfortunate and useful to have. [ There's obvious pride there, but the impression that he isn't exactly glad to use this experience as much as he's had to. ]
As it happens, my primary means of fighting came along with me. Although it's ... smaller than it should be. A lot smaller.
A mobile suit. They're humanoid-shaped robotic weapons capable of various type of combat, depending on their specifications and the skill of their pilots.
They usually stand around roughly twenty meters in height. But mine - as well as my partner's, who also has his here - is only about three, now.
Really, you think power against these things we're supposed to be fighting against is of utmost importance, so they'd ensure nothing happened when transferring them here!
I don't know about that. It should have a full cockpit, but it's been replaced with enough room to climb into and appears to have been adjusted to connect directly to me, [ He brings a hand up to point at one of his eyes. ] through this implant to control.
I don't think they'd go through all of that trouble and have us need to acclimate ourselves with a brand new system only to revert us to the original.
[ A beat, and he takes on a slightly braggier tone. ]
Not that it's hard for someone like me to learn something new, of course!
Interesting ... I suppose that's a word to use for it. As long as it performs well in action, that's all I want out of it.
One perk of it being directly connected to me is that practice is easy enough to set up if I'm not physically with the machine. So I'll be more than ready by the time we're on our next mission.
I did want to ... consider - only consider! [ He sounds REALLY insistent on that! ] the merits of sticking to my story if I had to actually get a job out there. I'd rather not so I can focus on what I need to be doing here, though.

What sort of crew are you on? And, what's your position in it?

[ Self-proclaimed. Even she's not entirely confident there, but it's a role and she's deciding to own it. ]

[ Yzak blinks. ]
What do you mean by 'warrior', exactly? Is that a term for a pilot of some sort of machine? Just a different way you refer to a soldier?
[ He hears warrior and pictures her in some medieval armor with a sword and shield or something... ]

[ And ice, but you know, let's not jump into too much immediately. ]

What about you, Yzak? If you're a Lieutenant Colonel [ or whatever he said ] that means you're probably used to combat, right?

[ Okay, you have her strong curiosity now. Give her the deets, Yzak, or she's going to start guessing and it's going to be incredibly incorrect. ]

[ What a thought. She grimaces lightly, sympathetically. ]
Maybe, like... it's just for now? So when we're actually fighting, they might be able to return to the normal size!
[ Because that would at least make the most amount of sense instead of "good luck enjoy your adorable tiny gundam and try to survive!" ]

Just like her.March snorts a little, lightly. ]
I guess that's true. Maybe they had to be made small enough to carry over? It should be interesting to see it in action, don't you think?

--Anyway, if you're new, have you been out in the city properly yet?
[ HERE TO BE AN AMBASSADOR, apparently. ]

But I really should, if only to acquaint myself.

March just looks amused, honestly. ]
Wanna go explore, then? I don't mind showing you around!
no subject
Thank you, March.
[ As he coincidentally is also done with what he was eating, he picks his tray up so he can go rid of it and be on his merry way. ]
I didn't ask before. But, how long have you been here?
no subject
[ What a thought. ]
no subject
[ That already sounds like way too long... ]
Do you get the impression that this organization is making progress?
