WHO: March 7th, various WHAT: May catch-all! ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN (hmu up for starters if you'd like anything!) WHERE: All around WHEN: The month of May WARNINGS: None yet!
[ There have been a lot of new faces showing up, and it wasn't that long ago (technically) that she was one of them herself. Out of her element! Away from the people she was familiar with! Alone! But extroverted!
This guy she spots near the cafeteria, though? Does not look very extroverted. Or like he's open to communication, but his hair is a pretty color and since when has March 7th ever particularly cared about people who maybe don't want to socialize? ]
Hey! Are you new?
[ She, of course, starts off with an exuberant wave. ]
[ Yzak in fact is open to communication, even if his general demeanor and expression can imply otherwise. Such a consistently serious or scowly expression clashing with a handsome face and pretty hair is a shame, really.
He's currently considering his opinion on the current dish being served to the lot of them. He's eating! He's ... not making any particular faces of disgust, so there's that at least. But he's still got that air about him that says he is judging all the same.
Until he's taken out of it by the friendly voice of one of his new allies and sets his focus on her. Which was something prioritized on his list of things to do as he settled into this life, however long it may be: to actually meet and get the vibe from the teammates he's going to be working alongside. Part of the key to setting up a good team and plan of attack after all, is knowing a person's character as much as their abilities.
(and oh what a first impression based on that exuberant tone. he's doomed already) ]
I am.
[ And then more out of habit (and because he is POLITE!!(?)) he stands briefly and brings a hand up to salute. ]
[ March blinks quickly, taken a little off-guard by the sharp salute he offers her. And the title. Neither of which she can really match, but after a few seconds, she clicks her heels together and salutes him in return. She's seen enough people do it on the planets she's visited, she's got this. ]
March 7th of the Astral Express! [ She does not expect him to know what that is, at this point, but she's got to at least try to sound a little more formal, maybe. ]
Nice to meet you... Yzak? Lieutenant? Lieutenant Colonel?
[ As much as he loves hearing his own title and feeling RESPECTED and important and cool, he is aware that he's not home, this is not his team and thus, any title usage is completely optional. And since she seems unsure herself of which to use, he'll just make this easy. ]
Yzak is fine.
[ Though after he says that and his hand comes back down to his side, he's ... staring at her with a subtle bewilderment. ]
Did you say March 7th? Is that some kind of code name?
[ At some point, March is shooting Elan a quick text, consisting mainly of a cake emoji and some question marks and sparkles and I'm very sorry that it had to happen to him. But assuming he responds favorably (she's not above dragging him), they're on the way to a cafe that March swears by.
And she is full of excitement, apparently, because-- ]
So I actually heard it's buy one, get one free today for cake slices!
[ After receiving her message, it had taken Elan a hot minute to remember that he had been the one to ask for cake. Considering he was just running his mouth at the time, he didn't think March would recall that detail of their conversation, much less follow through, but well...he's not opposed to cake and now that LILITH isn't forcing them to buddy up he's no longer feeling so contrarion. Though he has an idea where this is leading to. ]
[ There's nothing to apologize for. (It's also not her fault I've been on hiatus the past month asfjk.) Being remembered is...nice, though. He doesn't get that much. He shoves his hands in his pockets as he follows along. ]
[ It had felt sort of weird seeing unopened paints and while she thought it might be something good for Netzach to dabble into, to add some more color to a room that still feels barely lived-in...
March is also looking forward to artistic shenanigans and so today, Netzach will hear a few thuds at his door. Thuds, specifically, because her arms are full of easel and canvas things and she's having to knock with her elbow. ]
he's expecting her, though, so he makes his way to the door and opens it without complaining about the volume level, blinking when he sees how much she's brought with her.]
[ The room is... a little weird, and the beds look like... cookies? She's not entirely sure how she feels about the aesthetic, but as March falls back on said cookie bed, she bounces slightly and you know what, that's good enough. It's a comfy bed. And she has a good roommate!
What more could a girl ask for? ]
It's been pretty exciting here already, but I've gotta say, it's nice to take a little bit of a breather, huh?
[ While March is happily hopping onto her bed, Marcille is standing right by the doorway with her things, staring at this room in abject horror. Why is it so blue. Why are there cookies everywhere. Why are their beds shaped like that? Do they really have to stay in here?
Finally, she manages to step further inside, taking in every corner before she sets her bags down near her bed. ]
People ask to stay in rooms like this?
[ SHE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND...
More importantly, both of their oculars receive a little message at the same time, for you-know-what. Marcille blinks over at March before opening it up. ]
[ Both of them are just reading this whole message and absorbing this gif in horror. Right when March says his name, Marcille whips her head around to look at her. ]
They're getting married?!
[ Nevermind that March and Marcille have never talked about Ishmael and Wriothesley being a couple before. Marcille is too much in shock to care. ]
[ Okay, but what is a girl supposed to do in a luxurious kind of city with a whole lot going on, not hit the town with her best friend on a grand adventure?
Couldn't be March, who has definitely gotten together with Malkuth to figure out attire and a game plan. And she sure is bubbling over with eager energy, fingers laced together. ]
Okay! So what're we doing first? Checking out the casino? Shopping?
We're losing money either way, but at least we'll have something to show for it if we go shopping! I wonder if the prices are worse here or back in Neo Tokyo.
[ it's bad anywhere but it's fine. it's okay. she's clasping march's arms in hers, let's see. ]
[ Investigating the spate of disturbing incidents in this city should remain the priority, even if the mission affords all Outsiders some freedom to explore the area for unrelated reasons. Yesod's efforts to observe the locals are interrupted, however, when one exchange leads to little truly informative, quickly rather uncomfortable at that as the woman answering his questions steers the conversation off-topic. "This is getting too depressing... Why don't we take it somewhere more fun? You really look like you need it!"
Her catching hold of his arm reminds him of Malkuth doing the same, not long ago, though the context was very different. Before his thoughts can travel too far down that path, he considers borrowing Malkuth's idea and excusing himself with the claim of a date to meet, but something in his reaction must be upsetting — the woman huffs as she presses closer to peer at him. "Men... I could tell that you were checking me out the whole time, you know, so you can drop the stuffy act already." ]
...My apologies.
[ His hand comes up to intercept hers threatening to reach for his tie. ]
[ She's not sure what she's witnessing when she first sees it, because Yesod is not the kind of person who tends to end up in trouble. And so she has to process that it is him she sees standing there, one hand holding--no, is he trying to block that lady?
It's not jealousy or anything that sparks something inside of her, it's the fact that Yesod clearly looks uncomfortable and that is her friend and so March stops thinking and starts acting.
In the next few seconds, there's a girl forcing herself between the pair of them, arms outspread to shield him and gaze narrowed. ]
He said he's involved and he is! Back off already!
[ March is an unexpected arrival on the scene, a sudden flash of color, but her timely intervention is far from unwelcome, at least on Yesod's part. How fiercely she makes herself a shield surprises him, not unpleasantly. His discomfort must have been discernible, he supposes; with March standing between him and the stranger now jerking back in bewilderment, he relaxes somewhat.
Of course, they won't be able to address each other using their names for now, and he thinks of their first mission together.
The woman looks March up and down, lips pursed until she recovers to speak. "Yeah?" Blatantly, she takes in every curve of March's figure — only then does she turn to go, throwing her retort over her shoulder. "Well, I sure hope you're getting something out of it." ]
( it takes a second or two for that "waagh" to register. )

( —wanted to talk to you. he adjusts his sitting position from up high in a bunk of the camper, breathing out to ensure little thoughts like that aren't going to transfer. )
