➔ DENJI
[ She's so used to taking orders and heading off to fill them that sitting down right away leaves her feeling awkward. Like she's not at work anymore and instead is just sitting down to chat with, well, a friend. That's what Denji is, isn't he? Though she's not sure she'd be blushing still about that "Master" business if that were the case. Friends just laugh that kind of thing off and forget about it. It's hard to do that with Denji, especially when he brings it up again. ]
You were the first person I tried it on. [ She sighs through her nose, but she doesn't cross her arms like she's oh so tempted to. Is he going to tease her like Bakugou would? Just the thought makes her pout, as if she wouldn't do the same thing to the explosively tempered hothead. ] Did it embarrass you?
no subject
[ even if it was part of her job to accommodate the guests in such a manner. while he might be her first customer to try it on, denji doubts he'd be the last— some other guy will walk in during her shift and would appreciate it, too. no, he's certain other men will take it as a pretty girl stroking their ego, and uh ... denji isn't sure if she should do it again now ...
the smile twists into a thoughtful scowl. how can he explain himself without coming off as a total freak? he regards her again while tilting his head to the side. ]
Don't take this the wrong way, but you might wanna avoid calling other dudes 'master'. It's a little ... [ he makes a vague gesture with his hand. ] ... let's say they will take it in a certain way that could cause you trouble.
no subject
I can handle anyone who gets out of line.
[ Although...she can't help it, the side of her mouth tilts upward into a smirk. ]
You almost sound like you're jealous.
no subject
was that jealousy or anger, though? it was most likely a mix of both. this situation with lucy is more timid, but- it's still a familiar feeling. just a tad. a hint. it's there, though. ]
It's not about whether you can kick their ass or not, it's the satisfaction of letting them hear it. [ a pause, he glanced away for a second then back at the girl before him. ] So, I guess I am jealous ...
no subject
He's so easy to talk to. Unexpectedly so. ]
I guess I'll think about stopping. Maybe.

➔ Mother's Day 05/12/78
a. On the way
[ In the hall, Lucy stops as she comes across another person walking past. If they're this close to the exit, perhaps they're going out into the city as well? Today, she isn't particularly looking for company, but a walk won't be too bad. For a little while. Perhaps. ]
You're heading out too?
b. Senso-Ji
[ That the temple is still largely intact is a marvel. Some of its buildings are gone, but the main shrine still stands. Once past the torii, Lucy pauses on the long stone walkway and other visitors pass her by without missing a step.
Should she really be here...? Does she really have the right...? ]
A
[ Yuji grins, lifting his hand to wave at her. He's fond enough of Lucy that he has no issues stepping up closer to her, nodding his head. ]
Do you want company? I was just going to head out and wander around before work, so I don't mind.
no subject
Oh. [ If he's busy, she shouldn't take up anymore of his time, should she? ] I was going to a temple, so...it might take a while.
no subject
[ Yuji waves a hand, trying to keep that happy expression in place. ]
Lead the way.

Too? Where are you headed?

[ She wants to say more. The temptation is there, but instead, she jams her hands into her coat pockets. ]
It's not too far away.

Mind if I tag along? I haven't been to too many of the temples around here yet.

➔ Jomyoin 05/05/78 (backdated)
Shrines to Jizo are present throughout all of Japan. She remembers seeing many in Kamakura over the years. So finding out about Jomyoin seems the best idea in order to give up an offering. Not so much because she's a religious sort to begin with, but it will soothe her mind.
A mind so clouded that she careens into someone after turning a corner on base. Oops. ]
Sorry.
cat cafe;
Almost instantly he's drawn to the cat cafe, both from the allure of grabbing a drink and a snack, and at the prospect of getting to pet some cats. He grabs a table in the corner, next to the front window as well as one of the cat trees that is currently being habited by two tabby cats. He watches them for a moment, a smile tugging on his lips, until he catches a flash of pink out of the corner of his eye that draws his attention.]
Kaede-chan?
[He's startled to see her crossing the cafe. But then again, he's never asked her what she does here when not on a mission.]
((ooc: so sorry for the delay! hope this works okay.))
no subject
[ Nyuu pauses as she draws near. Her smile doesn't fade, but she does tilt her head at Izuku. He seems confused, but why? And why does he seem so familiar? ]
I'm sorry? [ At the very least, her waiting skills don't hit a hitch. ] Were you ready to order?
no subject
...Weird.]
Oh, um, I'm not sure yet. Is there something you recommend? I'm a little hungry.
no subject
The cream puffs are wonderful! Very light and fluffy, but you've gotta watch out or the cats will try to run off with it. [ She points to some of the cats that are already coming to check out Deku based on his scent. Some venture closer than others, but they all sniff at the air as if trying to figure him out. ] Our cooks make this really cute latte too. They shape the foam up to look like little cats!

➔ BAKUGOU
[ "Better things," he says, and it occurs to her that she isn't quite sure what exactly he does during his free time. Aside from practice his abilities, but that's so obvious that it goes without saying. ]
Such as...? It's hard to see you with a hobby that isn't cooking or drift racing.
no subject
Naah?! Drift racing?! That shit's illegal!! [Very illegal in Japan. Her even suggesting it is an insult to his pride! (But damn, it's not like you make it a hard image to picture, Bakugo...) She's right on the cooking though?]
I'm taking self-study courses at a local high school. Occasionally I'll go to the arcade. [Usually to work on his aim/reactions with laser tag, or work on the climbing wall since there's no real mountains to go climbing in a city.]

What's your favorite game at the arcade, then?

➔ BAKUGOU
[ Pain is the last thing she remembers. That terrible yet oh so familiar pain of having her horns damaged. Pain before her consciousness melts into the inky black of nothing, like she's doing nothing more than going to sleep. Sleep, sleep, sleep, and never wake up again for months.
Except this makes the third time. It seems like every time her horns are cracked or broken, the sooner she comes clawing back up to the waking world. Digging through cold mud the whole way. No end in sight for what must be hours. Minutes? God only knows.
The pain is back as her eyes flutter open and blearily take in the ceiling of the RV overhead. The aches are dulled down to throbs, but a sharp lance of fire spears through her temple as she gingerly touches one of her now ruined horns. ]
Hell...
no subject
[Back and forth, back and forth, retrieving and often battling other Outsiders from the damn worm's influence. And it's not just that side too. With so many trip into the desert, it was only a matter of time before the proud meet a fall. As the RVs rumble and track back through the desert, retreating with their bloodied "angels" on the fritz, those regaining consciousness are left to lick their wounds and face down their guilt. To say nothing of the occasional flickers of ghosts from the previous mess.
Bakugo is among those. Between Kaede, Jinwoo, Yuwon, Nobara, Manjoume, Denji, was there one or two more? the young hero is a mess. He's reclined on a bed near the pink-haired girl, hastily converted into a medical unit by some of the Outsiders and LILITH tag-alongs. Bloody bandages wrap around his arms, his right far more bound than his left, a leg's been splinted, and what look like patches to deal with burns run along his exposed upper body. But despite the damages, no one was lost to the desert.
It was no victory for them. For the first time, a kaiju soundly defeated them. Their purpose for being here, and they failed. They didn't even get to fucking touch the damn thing! Faint ghosts of All Might and Midoriya linger in his mind, their voices calling for him, hard to dismiss despite being fakes...
Motion to the side catches his attention and he rolls his head to the side slightly, neck muscles growling at him for daring to move them. Kaede's waking up. Good. He still feels like a damn heel for breaking her horns, even though he knew it was necessary.]
Took you long enough.
[Bakugo's gonna Bakugo.]
no subject
Rather than ask any of that, she hits a snag. Her lips stay in a grim line, her brows knit together in concern, and she looks away from him in shame before finally croaking out a reply. ]
You look like shit.
no subject
[And there he goes, growling at her for jerking upright despite her own head injuries. Are those horns of hers connected to her skull in a medical way? In that damage to them affects the risk to her brain? Or is it something a little more superfluous. Hell if he knows. Right now, plied with some painkillers, Bakugo's less inclined to take that kinda crap into consideration and just goes in whatever he's feeling right now.
Luckily for Kaede, the hero's wounds are from other people. The worst he got from her are bruises. A few internal bruises, but nothing that would keep him down hard. Beneath the bandages are worst damages from other Outsiders. Considering the way his red eyes narrow and his tone carries the normal bark, Bakugo doesn't see Kaede any differently now than he did before.
Just there's the threat of that aggressive personality...]
I'm fine. [Bold faced lie.] There's water to your left. Drink something.
