Stain was called the Hero Killer. He murdered 17 heroes on record, but he probably had more. He tracked them, caught them off guard, and killed them because they didn't fit his ideals of what "true heroes" are.

[It's only one example, but should go to suggest the troubles that heroes with big publicity and known information put themselves into, compared to Yuji and the sorcerers who are generally unknown.

Pros and cons to everything.]

[ Yuji frowns, reaching to try and find Katsuki's hand, to offer some kind of comfort. ]

That's... Did he get stopped? They must've stopped him, right?

He crippled 24 other heroes to the point they couldn't resume work. My classmate's brother was one of his victims.

[Tenya Iida... Katsuki accepts the hand, though he doesn't seem shaken up. More just talking about his world, some of the realities of it.]

Aa. Deku, Half-n-Half, and Four Eyes stopped him. Four Eyes went after him to get revenge for his brother, but almost died because he didn't tell anyone else.

[Revenge makes you insane... Iida only survived because Izuku's fucking smart and figured out his plan and location.]

[ Yuji goes quiet, for a moment, because... He understands that. His own desire for vengeance, to make sure that he can destroy Sukuna... At least he's not alone in that.

He breathes out a soft noise. ]

[Katsuki's quiet as well, thinking about that very thing. Vengeance isn't the same thing as justice, despite many people trying to intermix the two. Yuji's quest to destroy Sukuna... of course there's personal satisfaction and vengeance in there, wanting the monster to pay for what he's done, but it's also to protect people Yuji doesn't even know from the threat Sukuna poses.

Is that revenge? 100% revenge? Katsuki doesn't think so.]

Yeah. But he was one of the escaped prisoners when All for One used Shigaraki to break open Japan's seven largest prisons after the first war.

Things get better, then they get worse, don't they?

[ Freeing Gojo, then losing Gojo.

Saving people, then losing people.

Yuji closes his eyes. ]

That's how the world works.

[It's a pipe dream at best to think a world can exist at peace forever. Even heroes have to face that reality. Heroes create villains, villains create heroes, one way or another, regardless of the reason or excuse.

People are saved. People are lost. The lost are remembered by the saved who live on.]

Aa. Because we have things and people we want to protect.

[ It could be why Yuji clings to the memories of those he loves so desperately - people like Nanami, Higuruma, Gojo - because if he doesn't remember then they might disappear from the world. They're not famous heroes or anything like that, they're just people he loved.

If they're gone from his memory, they might be gone for good. ]

I'm glad your world has you, in that case.

[Just people he loved. Yeah, Katsuki is blessed to live in a world where his friends and mentors are people who will be remembered long after they're gone. Not hidden in the shadows known only to a few.

He wishes he'd be able to keep the memories he's made with Yuji and the others when he goes back home. He doesn't want Yuji to disappear from his life.]

[Katsuki squeezes Yuji's hand.]

[ Yuji squeezes that hand back, careful and gentle. ]

If LILITH will mess around with us like that, it’s the least that they can do.

[Katsuki's expression is soft and somber, but there's a quiet hope in his eyes.]

[That said, he isn't about to take Sukuna lightly. He knows Yuji can physically overpower him in a straight up slug fest, and if Sukuna's regeneration is even stronger than Yuji's, it's likely the guy can outlast him like Shigaraki. To say nothing of whatever other powers Sukuna has. BUT hell if Katsuki's going to admit defeat while walking in there.

But it's likely both our wars will be over by the time we meet again.

I almost hope that’s the case.

[ Yuji still expects to die fighting Sukuna, to give his life to save Megumi, but that’s something he’s willing to risk. People have ended up here time and time again after dying, so maybe he can come back here too. Maybe that’ll be how his ending comes.

He’d be fine with that. ]

Think of all the cool stories we’d have.

[Katsuki refuses to believe Yuji will die. No matter how inevitable it appears, he won't believe it. He can't. Even if this world can bring people back from the dead, relying on Neo Tokyo isn't optimal.

Do you think your world could handle knowing about curses and sorcerers?

[Since curses are from negative emotions and... all that shit Nanami told him about. But bringing those people into the light, letting people see and know, could that even help?

Though with curse energy manipulation being rare, well... Hm.]

You could. I didn't get to graduated cause of the war.

I don't know. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, but I was always a bit weird.

Quirks have only existed in my world for over a century. It took a long time for people to accept them. But there are a lot more Quirks than people with curse energy, right?

[Katsuki can understand why such a small group would work in the shadows. Still, that's going to be a choice left up to the younger sorcerers. Nanami said as much.]

I think so. I know there are more curses and stuff in Japan than other places, but I haven't learned a lot more than that.
