The decision has been made. LILITH Japan orders the Outsiders to mobilize to pursue the Imugi.
Given that they are in a foreign country, they are largely dependent on LILITH Koreaβs resources. In response to the decision, the Korean branch provides some assistance: the Outsiders are given just enough vehicles to help transport them, essential supplies, and only a few operatives to help guide them. This is the most the Korean branch is able to give, as they must focus on relocating people and restoring peace following the attack.
LILITH announces that the Imugi is currently resting near Gangneung on the east coast and they must move quickly. The effects of Rift poisoning will grow stronger as they approach the source; a sign that they are close to a kaiju. Upon reaching the mountains just outside the city, LILITH informs them that they are right on top of its location.
However, there is no Imugi to be found. After searching the area, Outsiders will discover the source of the trace and the poisoning: eggs. They will find about twelve eggs. When they report their findings, Seokdang will curse. In their rush, they had followed the wrong trace. They didnβt track down an injured and resting Imugi—they tracked down the Imugiβs nest. So where is the Imugi?
Not long after, Outsiders will receive an update on their implants: the Imugi reappeared in Seoul. After seeing the corpse of its mate, it went berserk and attacked the city again. While many of the citizens were evacuated to nearby Incheon and remaining shelters, just as many perished, with the death toll at 168,000 and rising. LILITHβs Korean base is destroyed.
The Imugi was last seen flying north, but the Korean government prohibits the Outsiders from pursuing it again through their territory. By choosing to pursue the kaiju, the Outsiders have abandoned humanity and thus will receive no further support. They are ordered to leave the country immediately.
LILITH Japan will order them to collect as many eggs as possible and continue to the abandoned city of Gangneung, where they will arrange pick up and return to base in Tokyo.

After failing to capture the second Imugi and also failing to save a large portion of Seoul's population, characters will be shipped back to Japan. The events of the TDM will springboard from there. Feel free to use this post to thread out any aftermath threads if you would like.

[ The first step is always the most leaden. The second less so. By the third step, it's easier to move her feet without feeling like her suit's shoes are made of concrete. ]
I was never stupid enough to think of myself as a hero for all this kaiju fighting...but this still fucking sucks.
[ Godzilla nods as they walk off, all the while keeping a steadying hand on Lucy's shoulder. He really has to shorten his strides to keep pace with her, taking one step for every two of hers. ]

[ He shakes his head, cracks his tail with some annoyance. ]
I am not dishonest. There is always a sting in being met with fear when trying to protect.
[ She clicks her tongue at that. With his overall demeanor, the idea of someone being afraid of him offends her more than it would if she didn't know he's...well, him. He's the very definition of a kami, isn't he? Not to be feared but respected. ]
Tch, of course. They let their fear rule them. [ Sigh ] Though I guess that's what's kept them alive for so many centuries. No different than any other animal, when you think about it.
[ If she was ever to voice that logic to him she would quickly go from one of his favorites amongst the Outsiders to his absolute favorite. That's the kind of attitude he's been missing from people for a couple thousand years now. ]
Survival, Friend Kaede, that is what all living things desire. Humans are at a disadvantage, they have no claws, no fangs, no scales to protect their hides. It is understandable then, to an extent, that they meet most things that could easily destroy them with fear.
[ Where she sighs he lets out a tired snort, smoke trailing from his nostrils. ]
Let us not dwell on such things, there is better use of our time. Now what is needed is rest, there will be time for reflection and preparation once we return to our lair.
[ Humans...pah. She's eager to leave that sore subject behind. Of course, in doing so, her mind catches up with how tired she actually is. She can't remember the last time she got a good night's sleep. ]
I don't know if I'll sleep well, but I'll sleep for hours, I'm sure. Gotta hold out until then.

[ Can her mind even be secured? She doubts it very much at this point. But the longer they walk, the better a good nap sounds right now. And hey, if he's around, anyone would think twice about bothering her, right? ]
[ Friend Kaede is certainly an interesting young Tiamat-kin. Kind, introspective, quiet but full of energy, and then there's that rage he saw today. She's really closer to some titans than other humans.
