The decision has been made. LILITH Japan orders the Outsiders to mobilize to pursue the Imugi.
Given that they are in a foreign country, they are largely dependent on LILITH Koreaโs resources. In response to the decision, the Korean branch provides some assistance: the Outsiders are given just enough vehicles to help transport them, essential supplies, and only a few operatives to help guide them. This is the most the Korean branch is able to give, as they must focus on relocating people and restoring peace following the attack.
LILITH announces that the Imugi is currently resting near Gangneung on the east coast and they must move quickly. The effects of Rift poisoning will grow stronger as they approach the source; a sign that they are close to a kaiju. Upon reaching the mountains just outside the city, LILITH informs them that they are right on top of its location.
However, there is no Imugi to be found. After searching the area, Outsiders will discover the source of the trace and the poisoning: eggs. They will find about twelve eggs. When they report their findings, Seokdang will curse. In their rush, they had followed the wrong trace. They didnโt track down an injured and resting Imugi—they tracked down the Imugiโs nest. So where is the Imugi?
Not long after, Outsiders will receive an update on their implants: the Imugi reappeared in Seoul. After seeing the corpse of its mate, it went berserk and attacked the city again. While many of the citizens were evacuated to nearby Incheon and remaining shelters, just as many perished, with the death toll at 168,000 and rising. LILITHโs Korean base is destroyed.
The Imugi was last seen flying north, but the Korean government prohibits the Outsiders from pursuing it again through their territory. By choosing to pursue the kaiju, the Outsiders have abandoned humanity and thus will receive no further support. They are ordered to leave the country immediately.
LILITH Japan will order them to collect as many eggs as possible and continue to the abandoned city of Gangneung, where they will arrange pick up and return to base in Tokyo.
โถ AFTERWORD.
Thanks everyone for participating in our first major Event Decision! We hope you had fun discussing what to do both ICly and OOCly.
After failing to capture the second Imugi and also failing to save a large portion of Seoul's population, characters will be shipped back to Japan. The events of the TDM will springboard from there. Feel free to use this post to thread out any aftermath threads if you would like.

[ She really catches him off guard, addressing him while he's ambling past like that. Godzilla isn't usually one to turn down offered food but today's a rare exception, he raises a hand and shakes his head slowly. ]
I am fine. Store it for later, small one. You look as if you need as much strength as you can gather.
[ Yeah he gets that a lot. Quick reflexes and a little luck see him catching that pork bun. With his tail. With the sharp as heck spikes on his tail. That he then holds up right in front of her face.
He's so kind, saving her food for her! ]
Ah, a good catch. We do not need to be concerned of the rule of five heart beats, it is still fit to eat.
Marcille has a moment to be shocked and brainless before she forces herself out of her seat. She's not even thinking anymore. Her thoughts are a whirl as she draws Ambrosia out of her hammerspace glove and grasps it with both hands. Her grip is white-knuckled. ]
You ate Laios?!
[ THIS IS SO SO SO BAD FOR CANON REASONS. Tears start pouring out! And yeah, they're in the cafeteria, but she's already aiming the tip of Ambrosia at Godzilla and beginning to read off a spell to explode on him like a giant firecracker.
[ There's a lot going on that Godzilla doesn't fully understand! She's getting angry over nothing and goes and pulls... a stick, from nowhere. A stick she's pointing at him. That's a weapon? That's an odd weapon, but Godzilla can recognize a threat when he sees one
His mouth stays open as he adopts a posture, dorsal spines across his back pulsing pink to answer the threat in kind. He even slams his tail against the floor, somehow the pork bun stays on the spikes. ]
Why is this of issue? He is the one that offered in the first place! [ Wait. Wait wait wait. Give him a second. It's been an emotional time for everyone here, he thinks he knows what's happening. He unpostures, head tilting to the side. ]
Ah. You misunderstand. It was not a courtship attempt. I was unaware Friend Laios had a mate, however I assure you I have no intent on him.
[ You know. That actually makes Marcille stop mid-spell. The tip of Ambrosia sputters out smoke like a wick snuffed out. She stares at this creature, who'd been glowing pink and striking the ground a minute ago, in utter disbelief. ]
Courtship? Where the hell are you getting this from?! [ She brandishes the tip of Ambrosia back at him, desperately trying to make some sense out of this. ] You just said that you ate him! He's in your stomach!
[ WHAT IS IT WITH THE TOUDEN FAMILY AND BEING EATEN BY GIANT LIZARDS ]
[ In his stomach... What? Godzilla glances down at said stomach in pure surprise, blinking slow lizardy blinks, then reaches up to scratch the side of his head in confusion. ]
I believe my meaning was misplaced at the train station once more. [ Lost in translation.
Looking back at Marcille and the stick she's still pointing at him Godzilla lets out a huff, which... doesn't help with him being scary since his huffs involve smoke curling out of his nostrils. He's not exactly a fan of having a weapon pointed at him so he just kind of reaches out, very daintily pinches the tip of Ambrosia between his thumb and foreclaw, and tilts it down and to the side. ]
I do not eat humans. Even if I were to, Laios is a friend, one does not eat their friends. [ Which he's sure everyone can agree with and Laios 100% hasn't had thoughts of eating say, him, for example. That would just be insane. ] I have shared meals with him, not made a meal of him.
[ A dragon turn of phrase she doesn't know about, maybe?
Marcille flinches when he reaches out, staggering a step backward. Terror streaks though her when he punches Ambrosia—he could snap it with a turn of his hand, and where would she be able to find roots here to fix it with?—but before she can protest, he simply leans it off to the side and lets go.
Okay. He's still a ten foot monster, nearly twice her size, but he's not going to snap Ambrosia or eat her or her friends. She keeps Ambrosia unsheathed, but she presses her free hand over her chest and sighs in relief. ]
I heard you say you'd eaten him! You scared me half to death!
[ She's certainly an odd one. Right then and there he decides she has to be from the same world as Laios, there just seems to be something going on with those people. They've all seemed like good sorts though so he won't hold it against her.
He still ends up snorting, complete with smoke coming out of his nostrils in a way that's not helping any future discussions of how he is 100% not a dragon. ]
I stated I have eaten with him. It seems your ears are only sharp in appearance.
[... Wow. He doesn't even mean that as an insult, it's just a straight up observation. But still. Wow. ]
However I hold no ill-will. Many are still recovering from Seoul, such things can be forgiven. [ How nice of him. ]

Y-You're a— [ She grips the back of her seat like maybe she's about to thwip around and make a run for it. ] You can—
[ WAIT a second. She freezes. ]
Hold on...! Are you that monster Laios keeps talking about? The nice one?

And he does! His version of smiling is opening his mouth to show his teeth, because that's what a smile is right? ]
Ah, Friend Laios. [ An eager nod, a faint twitch of his pork bun holding tail. ] Yes, I know of him. I have eaten him.
[ That's a hell of a time for the translation implants to glitch out and drop the "with."
Sorry. ]
