The decision has been made. LILITH Japan orders the Outsiders to mobilize to pursue the Imugi.
Given that they are in a foreign country, they are largely dependent on LILITH Koreaβs resources. In response to the decision, the Korean branch provides some assistance: the Outsiders are given just enough vehicles to help transport them, essential supplies, and only a few operatives to help guide them. This is the most the Korean branch is able to give, as they must focus on relocating people and restoring peace following the attack.
LILITH announces that the Imugi is currently resting near Gangneung on the east coast and they must move quickly. The effects of Rift poisoning will grow stronger as they approach the source; a sign that they are close to a kaiju. Upon reaching the mountains just outside the city, LILITH informs them that they are right on top of its location.
However, there is no Imugi to be found. After searching the area, Outsiders will discover the source of the trace and the poisoning: eggs. They will find about twelve eggs. When they report their findings, Seokdang will curse. In their rush, they had followed the wrong trace. They didnβt track down an injured and resting Imugi—they tracked down the Imugiβs nest. So where is the Imugi?
Not long after, Outsiders will receive an update on their implants: the Imugi reappeared in Seoul. After seeing the corpse of its mate, it went berserk and attacked the city again. While many of the citizens were evacuated to nearby Incheon and remaining shelters, just as many perished, with the death toll at 168,000 and rising. LILITHβs Korean base is destroyed.
The Imugi was last seen flying north, but the Korean government prohibits the Outsiders from pursuing it again through their territory. By choosing to pursue the kaiju, the Outsiders have abandoned humanity and thus will receive no further support. They are ordered to leave the country immediately.
LILITH Japan will order them to collect as many eggs as possible and continue to the abandoned city of Gangneung, where they will arrange pick up and return to base in Tokyo.

After failing to capture the second Imugi and also failing to save a large portion of Seoul's population, characters will be shipped back to Japan. The events of the TDM will springboard from there. Feel free to use this post to thread out any aftermath threads if you would like.

Bakugo looks at the gun she's holding. When the hell did she start using that?]

[ She sighs deeply. For probably not the last time. Not much else she can do since she can't bash the eggs in or shoot them or even make a hell of a huge omelette with them. Whatever, at least one more of the bastards is dead. ]
Should probably just go wait with the others, then. Staring at these things will just make us both mad the longer we do it.
["Can't" being the operative word. They could very well do that! LILITH might be able to short out their brains (he always carries suspicion that's a failsafe in the oculars) but not before they do the deed if they're fast enough.
Yet none of them try. Probably for several reasons, personal safety being one of them. Bakugo isn't sure what the better answer is here. Learning more about the kaiju threat is always important, the eggs in LILITH's care means they aren't out here waiting to ravage Korea in the future, it leaves only one half-dead dragon rampaging around...]
Che. [Bakugo turns from the nest and heads to the side, pace slow enough it's a silent invitation for Kaede to walk with him.]
[ She doesn't need much prompting to follow him. Just a quick second to gather her things, and Kaede trudges along beside him with the fatigue finally starting to sink in. Her feet feel more leaden by the second, with every step, but still she trudges on with her face forward. ]
When we get back, we should get that Indian phaal curry. Just to try it.
[There are times when Bakugo "hates" being the responsible guy who follows the rules. But that's one of the choices of being a hero, willingly accepting to act and behave a certain way. Constrictions that villains don't have to live under, though they pay for that freedom in other ways unique to them.
Bakugo notices the slight drag of Kaede's legs. If she stumbles or drops, he's ready to stick an arm out and catch her.]
Indian curry? In Korea? They have better stuff than that!
[ She makes a loud, tired "guh" type of sound and slowly shakes her head. Doing so almost has her trip, but her arm shoots out to grab at his arm and cling until she can right herself.
But then, it's right back to being catty once she's better balanced. ]
Curry is great, shut up. Maybe you should eat it after all so it'll burn your mouth and you can't speak for a while.
[Catty or not, once she trips (almost) and has to grab onto him, Bakugo waits for her to right herself, legs braced to make sure Kaede's got something secure to hold onto. The way she's clinging to him is pretty fucking telling.
He glances to the side, eyeing her with narrowed gaze for any kind of injury, particularly on her head.]
Ha! I eat spicy stuff all the time! Curry won't make me break a sweat!
[He likes spicy that compliments the flavors. Just burning for the sake of burning is stupid! And those peppers don't taste good at all, as well as ruining the rest of the food they're in.]
Probably so they could blame us if things went to shit.
