DOWNTIME MINGLE #6 + TEAM BUILDING
βΆ 001. STATE OF THE BASE.
It's been a suspiciously sleepy past few months back on LILITH's base. The onslaught of Transylvania has left some Outsiders with both physical and mental wounds that still may need tending to. Some may still be participating in LILITH's on base therapy services or rehabilitation services for those who needed a prosthetic, teaching Outsiders how to accommodate to their prothetics efficiently.
The Imugi eggs from last year have hatched! Two new Imugis have been taken care of in a RESTRICTED area for observation, one male and one female. The rest of the Imugi, unfortunately, did not make it. Outsiders may visit these Imugi from behind glass if they wish; this is part of the RESTRICTED area on base. Any Outsiders who might have been cleared to help with this project will see that the Imugi sleep a lot. They are mostly active at dawn and dusk, but especially for the cold season, they are sluggish and want to rest during this brumation period. Their diet are small crustaceans, snails, small fish. As of now, they harness no powers or strength. LILITH wants to keep them away from exposures, so most Outsiders will have to observe them in a nursery behind glass. Any Outsider involved in this project must be full body sterilized upon entering and exiting the nursery. This means stripped down and pressure washed with pre-made sterilization. It's not recommended to see the Imugi in person unless necessary. Their names are Noodle and RAGING MURDER TERROR TEMPEST DRAKESTORM or "Tempest" for short. These are results per the contest that was held a few months ago.
The orphanage side-project has been a success, and children misplaced from the Transylvania wreckage are properly cared for, both with Outsiders, civilian caretakers and AI robots. There is still some building and construction work to be completed, but the orphanage is livable for the children now.
On base, however, LILITH's crew, have detected some very heavy rift energy nearby, but the oddest thing is.. they can't detect where it is at exactly. They send out their researchers to try and find the source to different areas of Japan, but despite all the searching, there doesn't seem to be a rift anywhere. Could it be a glitch? Or something else? Maybe it's something harnesses rift energy? Something that moves fast and something that can disappear or camouflage. Stay tuned... and be on alert.

βΆ 002. THE SEOK DANG GAMES: PLAYGROUND
"Aww, I missed seeing you guys have so much fun with each other! Breathe it in, the SIMULATION ARENA air! So crisp, so artificial. C'mon, let's PAR-TAY, bitches! Remember, if your teammates aren't driving you crazy, you're not doing it right!"
With Outsiders needing to be ready for whatever mission they will be tasked for yet, Seok Dang has an idea on how to build some healthy competition and get to know your teammates, especially the new ones, with some classic playground games from his homeland. Every Outsider will be asked to participate in the SIMULATION ARENA, though it has gotten a bit of make over to look like a children's playground thanks to hologram technology. Outsiders may group with whoever they like as they play these games, under one condition: the person you are playing with cannot be apart of your team! Everlight can't be against Everlight, etc.
Here are the list of games to play with one another:
Ssireium: Ssireum is similar to Japanese sumo wrestling, with two opponents wrestling each other in a sandy ring. The player who throws his opponent to the ground scores a point. Traditionally practiced as combat and self-defense, ssireum was also part of rituals conducted in the ancient tribal states. The goal is to score 5 points.
Neolttwigi: It's close enough to Korean New Year for this game, and in the year 2279, anyone can play this game, not just women. Neolttwigi is similar to seesaw, except that participants stand on each end of the neol (board) and jump, propelling the person opposite into the air. When performed as a spectacle, acrobatic tricks such as flips or skipping rope while in the air are often included. Try not to hurt yourself, but show off the most impressive stunt you can! Medics will be nearby.. just in case.
Dalgona: A Korean street food candy game where players try to carefully carve out a pre-stamped shape from a thin, honeycomb-like sugar candy without breaking it, often gaining a free candy if they succeed. The shapes Outsiders will find are modeled after the kaiju they have defeated: Shachimon, Imugi, Pricolici and Yamadenki. Shachimon is the easiest shape and Pricolici is the hardest shape. Outsiders can use any method to remove this shape from the honeycomb but will be given a needle by default.
βΆ 003. THE SEOK DANG GAMES: SQUID
In this game, the offense must move outside the squid and around to the defensive house's bottom "gate". Once inside the squid, the offense must pass through the defensive house. To win, the offense must tap the closed-off space on the squid's head with their foot. Characters are encouraged to use any method to win against one another, which can sometimes turn violent. Use abilities or powers, it's all fair game here. There will be a buzzer at the squid's head and the offensive player must step on it.
Submit a thread or toplevel that has this prompt as part of it to be entered in an RNG elimination round. We will announce the Squid Winner overall on January 25th! Please submit your thread by January 23rd. Don't worry. Nobody dies for losing any of these games, but players are welcome to allow LILITH deduct some of their next pay out if they lose too many of these games. Some stakes are on the line!

EVENT BREAKDOWN/RECAP (CLICK TO EXPAND)
1. STATE OF THE BASE: The past few months on the LILITH base has been suspiciously quiet and Outsiders have enjoyed a break where they can focus on rebuilding what they may have lost in October, tend to the cultist children, and the cats in Neo Tokyo who have been suffering from rift poisoning. Unbeknownst to the Outsiders, LILITH's crew has detected some very heavy rift energy from Neo Tokyo, but are having a hard time locating where it could be coming from. LILITH instructs Outsiders to be prepared.
2. THE SEOK DANG GAMES: GAME 1: Seok Dang is growing bored and puts the Outsiders through some character building activities. He brings all of the Outsiders to the SIMULATION ARENA and provides them with four mini games to play to build character participation and interaction.
3. THE SEOK DANG GAMES: GAME 2 Seok Dang is growing bored and puts the Outsiders through some character building activities. The second game is SQUID. Submit a thread for participation!
4. SYNDER: To encourage character relationships, SYNDER has appear back online on all of the oculars and Outsiders are encouraged to fill out a profile.. or AI will do it for them.

This has been a long time coming, Yato-chan~.
[ Uh-oh is someone still mad about that little incident in the inn? Yes. Yes she is.
Kaga's flight deck appears at her side as she dons her rigging, then floats off behind her, allowing her access to her full speed and strength. Once she's prepared she touches the ground as well, charging forward to meet Yato in glorious combat!
Of course blood thirsty bitch that she is, even with a friend, while the robotic hand goes for one of Yato's to tie him up, her flesh and blood hand shoots straight for the throat.

Oh shit shit shit - is about the only thing that goes through Yato's mind when he spies who his next opponent is. It's pretty clear that despite his best efforts back at the inn, he hasn't gained one ounce of forgiveness for what was in fact an entirely innocent evening. It's been a week or so now, Kaga...! Hasn't her jets cooled even a little?!]
K-Kaga... J-Just remember it's a game, okay? A game--!
[But what's done is done, both from the New Year's party and here as they set about squaring off against one another in yes, glorious but potentially bloody combat. He doesn't put it past Kaga to beat the ever living stuffing out of him, despite them having almost gotten on decent terms prior to this incident.
Once Kaga's rushing at him, he braces himself, bare feet digging into the ground to gain purchase in preparation for impact. It's a good thing he does, too, because she goes for the throat, quite literally, causing him to gasp and cough almost immediately while trying to fend off her other arm. His flesh hits metal, clanging loudly and causing him to wince a little, but her still manages to prevent her from pinning him down, at least for now.]
K..Kaga...! [Said in a choked voice, because damn she's got him soundly.] D'ya really gotta do this...?

[ To her this is a battle! One she's happy to be involved in because not only are her tails wagging, she's grinning like a maniac. Um... fair warning Yato, blood thirsty Kaga is dangerously close to the surface right now. ]
Ugh, seriously?! [ Stated as her hand closes around his throat and he smacks at her metal arm. That grin turns into a snarl as Kaga bodily shoves Yato back, letting go of his throat as she does so... and leaping up to aim a kick at his midsection.
That's. Not part of wrestling. But uh... yeah. ]

[So much for getting out of this without too much trouble, huh.... He certainly wouldn't have equated a form of sumo with a battle, but then, he's no currently in bloodthirsty mode. Which might have to change if he's to have any chance of survival at this rate. He doesn't want to get maimed OR die, thank you kindly...!]
Ngh...! Shit... [Double shit when she almost cuts off his air supply, leading his eyes to widen with some mixed emotions; maybe fear, maybe surprise, definitely a hint of arousal, if the blush is anything to go by... Stumbling back from her shove, a hand instantly flies up to rub his throat while he coughs a few times, then lets out a grunt from her slamming a foot into his solar plexus.
He falls back a few more paces, coming dangerously close to the edge of the arena before regaining his balance and lifting his head to level a glare at her, lip curled back in a feral snarl.]

[And just like that, it's as though a switch has been flipped: he lunges forward, throwing a punch at her jaw and following it up with a knee to the gut. They're totally breaking the rules at this point, but... nobody's daring to stop them, with good reason.]

That thought is interrupted by Yato's fist connecting squarely with her jaw and his knee landing the follow up right to her gut, driving the air out of her in a coughing gasp. Kaga staggers backwards, doubled over and clutching her stomach. Her entire body shaking...
She's laughing. It's not the cute(?) fox laugh either, it's a full on demented giggle. When Kaga straightens up she's fired up, literally, her eyes are glowing and her tails ignite into blue flame.
The worst part is Yato isn't the only one who just had a Reaction... and if he ever found out she'd have to kill him. Multiple times. But right now she's going into fight mode anyway, so he's "safe". ]
You won't let me? As if you'll have a choice!
[ With her own expression set into a maddened grin Kaga rushes forward to reengage with Yato. Her right hand flexes open, the metal claws hidden in the fingertips springing out, and she takes a swipe at him, throwing her momentum into the blow and turning with it so she can follow up by batting at him with her blazing tails. They are decidedly not fluffy and soft, they are on fire. ]

It's been a while since Yato's gone all out - since Brasov, to be honest - and though he's not quite so far gone as he was then, as Kaga should be able to tell thanks to his lack of black sclera, he's definitely not fooling around this time.
Her laughter makes him bristle in warning; he can tell an unhinged laugh from a more innocent one. She's getting serious now too, huh...? Must be, since that flame likely isn't just for show.

[As they clash for a second time, Yato's taken by surprise thanks to the sudden appearance of the claws, which leave shallow slashes across his skin due to him just barely managing to dodge in time. There's no escape from the tails, however, and they slam into him with a burning sensation that leaves him struggling to dance away and pat out the fire all over his person, yelping all the while.]

For Kaga's part she hasn't been able to go all out at all since arriving! She kind of got kidnapped, messed up, and bed ridden for her entire first mission, she had to let her planes do all the work. Now though? Being able to get stuck in, even if it is "friendly" competition, she's living for it. ]

If all Kaga wanted was someone to go all out on, all she had to do was ask...? The threats were entirely unnecessary! ...okay, maybe not. Without them, Yato may have held back. It's nothing personal here, Yato. Kaga would've reacted this way with anyone she found in the same situation with Akagi. It's her job to protect her, a job she takes very, very seriously. It's the last request Kaga's other older sister made to her, after all!

[ She turns on her heel, paps him in the face with at least two of her tails, and goes back to her corner. All the while she's limbering up, rolling her shoulders, popping her neck. Kaga is positively boiling with anger at being bested and intends to take the rest of this fight to the cleaners.
Plus she's... kind of excited to see what else she can draw out of Yato here. Fighting that blood thirsty war god persona would be pretty fun.
Once in her turner she turns back to face Yato and waits patiently. Her tails aren't lighting up in fire this time at least, she's trying to keep her emotions more under control. ]
