CONTENT WARNINGS: thalassophobia, natural disaster, drowning, body horror, violence, blood & gore.

▶ 001. SEAS THE DAY.

On the morning of the 1st, sirens will blare, forcing every Outsider and Neo Tokyo civilian awake. While it hasn't been activated for a while, every citizen within the city knows this alarm all too well - it wails through the city whenever a Kaiju has been detected, ordering everyone to return to their homes immediately and stay there until they receive further information. Outsiders gazing at Neo Tokyo will see the armored city in its full technological splendour for the first time today. Once the civilians have returned to their homes, machinery within the buildings will work like clockwork, sinking each and every LILITH-augmented building beneath the ground. Just in time, too, because the waves are starting to roar again, crashing beyond the shore and flooding the city once more. Observant Outsiders may note that not every building has been modified. The older ones remain standing, vulnerable to the impending flood. Does anyone live in those buildings? The answer is yes, but that's not a priority at the moment.

Every Outsider will receive a summon, ordering them to prepare for battle. The Kaiju has been identified and located. It's show time.

"Angels of LILITH. We have located the Kaiju coming from beyond the sea. A full mission brief including the information we have gathered will be sent to you immediately. For now, make your way to the bay where your transport will be waiting. Be prepared for anything, but mostly, be prepared to swim."

Waiting for the Outsiders at the bay appear to be ... expensive-looking, personal yachts? This has to be a mistake, right? It's no mistake. Through intel LILITH has exchanged with international companies, it appears that this particular Kaiju has a fondness for overturning civilian yachts, and there's no better way to attract it than to leave it its favourite bait. The goal is to attract these Kaiju towards the boats and then attacking.

The ships may look like they're outfitted for a fancy yacht party. In fact, some exploring down below deck in the lounging room, one may find caviar on fancy ritz, oyster tower, little finger sandwiches with the crusts cut off and bougie smelly cheese that nobody in LILITH's pay grade can identify. On another table, there is fancy ramen spoons filled with microgreens, crystal jelly vinegarette, and a thin slice of parmesan cheese. Some further looking may find some fine aged wine, but you're not here to drink and party, you're here to fight a Kaiju! Right? Right.

Despite the fact everything about these yachts just look like... fancy yachts... they are actual warships that are mounted with naval artillery such as swivel guns, missiles and torpedos. Spears, harpoon guns and fishing nets can also be found and used if an Outsider is more comfortable getting extremely close to the monsters. There's no time for a proper seafaring course, so Outsiders will be given a quick run down on how the controls work, and be sent on their way. They will also be given a special jewel-like implant that attaches to the skin, right along the forehead, and told to wear it if they need to go into the water. "Don't worry about it," the LILITH crew says. "But it'll be one hell of a ride if you use it."

Alongside the crew, Seok Dang seems to be also assisting (?) though he's gotten a hold of the reception food down below. Did he smell like fine wine? Possibly. But that's definitely a fancy, half eaten cracker in his hand. He's also got on a bright, neon life preserver. Maybe someone doesn't know how to swim.

"WHOOO HELLA YEAH, MOTHERFUCKERS. Don't know how to swim? Don't'cha worry. Daddy Dang has got you covered. I know CPR! I give the best CPR! 💖 I'll rescue ya. TONIGHT, WE BALL!"

Nobody uses that phrase anymore, but you know what? You do you, SD.

▶ 002. WHALE WATCHING.

Minutes into their ship's course, the boats will rock violently, as if those already violent waves have somehow come alive. There is something in the water! The mission brief would have been shared with them sometime during their trip, but maybe Outsiders want to pull up on their implant the image and debrief shared once again now that there is some action. The orca-like Kaiju trying to reach the shores of Neo Tokyo is called Shachimon, and she's been the cause of the violent waves and flooding we've seen for the past few weeks. Alongside of her and are her children orca who love to mimic everything their mother does. The biggest one, the matriarch of the pod, is over 60 meters in length - large enough to swallow a boat whole. The younger ones are smaller but just as ferocious, spanning from the size of a car to the size of a bus. The youngsters are a size small enough that they can leap out of the water, sometimes crashing down onto people and ships. Beware!

Shachimon will be fighting to knock over boats, or climbing on boats with their amphibious legs. Once they get their hands on humans or Outsiders, they pull them into the water, tearing them limb from limb to feed. Their control over the waves are no joke, either. With a powerful swing of their tail, they can conjure up tsunamis capable of overturning ships. The matriarch, if left to her own devices, seems bent on submerging Neo Tokyo to make food of all its citizens.

█ █ █ MONSTER DEBRIEF SHEET
NAME: Shachimon
HEIGHT: Younger whales are 4 - 18 metres. The matriarch is 60 meters in length.
WEIGHT: 1500kg - 5000kg
CLASS: Highly dangerous.
LOCATION: Large bodies of water
ABILITIES: Use of sonar to detect any water movement. Fast swimmer. Very sturdy body thanks to all that whale blubber. High intelligence - commonly works together as a pod to take down prey. Capable of creating tsunamis that overturn boats. The largest Shachimon can sink a city if not stopped.
WEAKNESS: Electricity (since it will be inside water), dissection, spearing its eyes or blowhole. Loud vibrations within the water can stun or confuse it.
EXTRA NOTES: Dislikes and will attempt to overturn civilian yachts. Carnivorous, eating marine life and human flesh. Sadistic personality, may play with their food prior to eating.

█ █ █ MISSION OBJECTIVE:
✖ Lead the Shachimon away from the shore.
✖ Extermination of Shachimon in the water and if they reach the shore.
✖ Protection of nearby fishermen's boats and civilians within those boats.
✖ Teamwork to destroy the matriach Shachimon.
✖ Bring back specimens (live or deceased) for research purposes.

As a note, Outsiders who wish to remain on land and help civilians there may do so. There are waves flooding the city, and some of the smaller, quicker Shachimon will have made it to shore. They will need to be taken care of before they can terrorise the city.

▶ 003. OCEAN GEMS.

Shachimon are most deadly in the water and their go-to strategy is to pull others into their turf, where they have the advantage. That's where those jewel-like implants come in. These implants, called OCEAN GEMS, when attached to the skin, temporarily modify the body. Once activated, nanobots will invade the bloodstream and alter the user's lungs, giving them a set of breathable gills. Their legs will also be altered, giving them fins and the tail of a fish. This is a recent invention by LILITH ever since the first Shachimon was spotted a few years ago, and the technology is still experimental. This means that the transformation process will be significantly uncomfortable, feeling a bit like being asphyxiated and having your legs sewn together at the same time. Deactivating the gem and turning back feels just as uncomfortable, and being experimental technology, it can take a while before the user can successfully revert back. Those who want to fight in the water and lack any weapons or abilities that can be used can request Seok Dang for a weapon. There's a limited supply, but they will be given a special trident. Directly driving the spear into one of the kaiju will electrocute it, giving a higher chance for higher damage. These tridents will be handed out to those who want to use their Ocean Gem and ask.

It's up to Outsiders whether they want to use this new technology or not. Being able to fight the monsters on their own terrain is certainly an advantage, so LILITH would highly encourage it.

▶ 004. MEDICAL BAY.

Healers and those with medical experience will be placed on the warship with a red flag on it. Dr. Spim & Alex will also be present on this ship to assist any major injuries to both LILITH and civilian fisherman alike. This ship is bigger than the others, and while stocked up with the same artillery, it is also stocked with beds and medical supplies. This will be the Outsider's naval medical bay during the siege on the Shachimon and all injured Outsiders or civilians will need to be transported there. This ship will also need to be protected heavily, because once the Shachimon catch on that all the injured, vulnerable prey are being transported to the larger ship, they will start to target that ship in particular. Characters that need immediate medical help should be transported to this ship via a dataportal. Each yacht has a dataportal that can teleport anyone instantly to the medical ship. The dataportals are also located down below deck to prevent them from getting damaged.

▶ 005. THE CALM AFTER THE STORM.

It's a bloody, soggy and gruesome battle and the seas' waves begin to calm down, the sea filled with kaiju carcasses. LILITH's clean up crew is working hastily to collect these corpses, but with the Outsiders' occupied and recovering from their fresh battle, help is limited. Search and rescue scavenges the sea to find any civilians who didn't make it or may need medical help. Meanwhile, the valiant teamwork and effort has paid off. After many hits from many different weapons, artillery, natural abilities, etc. the matriarch kaiju has been downed and sank to the bottom of the ocean floor. LILITH's team will work to retrieve the massive carcass, though it will take awhile. Those who put in notable effort will receive praise and a little extra payout. Outsiders will see an instant transfer of funds to their account: 340,000,000 KRYPTOS. This is roughly about 2500 USD.

The intense battle will have lasted several days and Outsiders are free to go from land to sea as little or as often as they like. It is all over, though, and Outsiders will be called to return to the MAIN BASE for rest and recovery. LILITH will also be searching for the rift where the kaiju came from while Outsiders recover. A message from an unknown voice will pop up an hour or so after all Outsiders have returned to the MAIN BASE. Outsiders may use this time to socialize in a commons area, wash up in the showers, get a meal in the cafeteria or rest.

"Good work."

▶ 006. AFTERWORD.

Welcome to our first Kaiju log! All prompts are highly encouraged but OOCly optional. ICly, characters can choose to fight in the ocean, on the ships or stay behind on land and protect the city. At the end of the siege, characters who accepted an Ocean Gem will be asked to return it. It's experimental technology, so LILITH will need to do more tweaking before they can properly release it. Outsiders who use the gem may have whatever fish tail they like, as long as it is a sea creature.

Feel free to NPC your characters' fights with the smaller kaijus. The main fight with the Shachimon matriarch will be determined via a HP-based system (See below).

Below is also the month at a glance. We understand the CALENDAR has been a little inconsistent, but the mod team is sorting all of this out. Expect a FEEDBACK POST this month as well so we can check in with the playerbase and make any adjustments to the game. This log, even if the time stamp says JANUARY, will count for FEBRUARY AC.

[Hey now. He didn't pick these fins! Time to grouse about that later. For now, he's holding on to dear life as Bakugo bashes the creature away, Raidou's own spear thankfully staying in his hands.

He also wastes no time going right back at it. He tries to move as fast as he can to get the jump on the kaiju before it knows what was going on. Raidou aims for its eye, but the orca recovers just in time to turn his way, jaw agape. It comes down on Raidou's arm, but he doesn't drop his trident, at least. He grabs the weapon with his other arm, and brings it down into the kaiju's snout. He'll try to drive it down in the hopes the thing will finally let him go.]

[Must be bad cosmic luck! The blubber on these orca-like kaiju is thick enough to make fire and ice like attacks hard to deal the best damage, but it's apparently conductive to electricity well enough. Good to know. As the creature recoils, Bakugo's shaken off and quickly flips round in the water to orient himself.

Looks like Raidou's going for some tag team efforts. Only to get his arm chomped on. Bakugo immediately has a vivid flashback to Mirko getting her own arm bitten down on by Shigaraki's, only later finding out how she'd willingly torn herself at the cost of her own limb to continue her attack.

Fuck no. He's not letting someone else lose a damn limb because of him! Explosions crack through the water and Bakugo almost appears out of nowhere amid a flash of sparkling explosions that blind the water around him. Rage is only the tip of his current emotional flare as he drives his trident straight through the creature's eye and into its skull/brain with both hands.

Hopefully Raidou gets his arm out amid the split-second gape of pain before the kaiju goes corpse-hard lockjaw.]

[There's such a flurry of energy and roiling water that for a moment, Raidou isn't even sure what's happening. What he does know is that the kaiju suddenly lets go, and he can free himself, still keeping his other hand on his own trident. He drove it in pretty deeply, but even one-handed, he rips it out almost ferociously.

He goes to attack again, but now that he has a better look at the thing, it's obvious it's dead. He takes a moment to catch his breath and check the nearby area to make sure more kaiju weren't headed at them. None at the moment, but sounds of battle aren't far off in the dark water.

His arm is hurt, but it definitely could have been much worse. Raidou is very good at ignoring this sort of thing, though. He finally turns to Bakugo, and while on an intellectual level he gets this whole merperson thing, it's still strange to see.]

...Nice aim.

[There's something satisfying about seeing Raidou rip the trident out with that much force. Whether it's just cool or if it's a show of the guy's normally-buried emotions, Bakugo likes it. He watches he creature's lifeless body bob in the water, slowly turning over on its back thanks to the two merman pulling their weapons from its body.] Che.

[Satisfactory work. Thanks (he assumes) in part to the tech working their bodies in this new augmentation, the scent of blood amid the salt water makes a better tracker for future quarry than their sight. But Bakugo ignores that for now in favor of tending to Raidou's injury. He swims away from the Shachimon and comes to a stop in front of the other boy.]

You distracted it. [A grousing compliment. He brushes his hand in the water, fanning the cold liquid over Raidou's injury. Using the light of the Ocean Gem, Bakugo inspects his wound. Hurt, but there doesn't seem to be any bone fragments or other serious damage. A chomp, but nothing worse. If their tails or fins accidentally touch right now, that's just "new tail, oops" accidental contact, so stuff it.]

Can you move your arm without straining something inside? [Muscle sinew, tendons, bones, those being the main concern with an arm injury.]

[Raidou's eyes still dart around the area, wondering if the blood in the water from himself and the shachimon might attract others. Don't want to get ambushed in the dark, quiet water.

He got lucky. Chalk it up to the creature being so large - Raidou's arm probably got caught in the crevices between its teeth, and not two teeth themselves.

He flexes his fingers, then the elbow. It's hard to stop blood loss underwater, so he doesn't want to do too much of that right now, but it's proof he can still move it. Under water and in this form, there's no way to bandage it. His healing upgrade can help, but it's much trickier using it on himself than on others.]

I've had worse.

[That's certainly true. It then hits him that he feels like he's being fussed over a bit. It puts him in mind of Seimei doing the same with him back home after their investigations, and how unusual it felt to have someone there to do that after fighting solo for so long. He looks away, a little embarrassed.]

It'll be okay.

[It's likely going to attract others, though considering the size of the kaiju, Raidou's blood respectively won't be the drawing issue. They'll just come to see why their fellow monster is bleeding everywhere. Which is arguably a chance for them to ambush the approaching creatures... Bakugo eyes the monster's corpse. Staying close to it would mask their own scent in the water.

Then turns his attention back to Raidou. While he proves he can still move his arm, there's little they can do to stop the bleeding outside of using something down here, which offers nothing. Minus whatever might be growing on the bottom of the seabed fathoms below. Bakugo clicks his tongue irritably when Raidou dismisses the wound. Sure, he's had worse, but the wound isn't the issue. It's the blood loss.

THIS ISN'T FUSSING!! WTF?! This is making sure he's not going to have to drag Raidou lame carcass back to the boat later on!

Not that Bakugo knows. He looks up towards the surface.] Come with me.

[And proceeds to head upward with steady motions of his tail. Just going to pop back up here for a bandage and then they can return to the undersea battle.]

[Raidou sighs lightly, but follows him after a moment or two. To say the transformation process had been unpleasant was an understatement, but it was even stranger how natural it felt already. Maybe just the ability to move so freely through the water made up for all of that pain. Fighting those creatures below the waves has shown to be much more efficient and successful than above.

When they get to the surface, it's not exactly easy to board the med ship in this state. But in anticipation for those who accepted the gem offer, there's a lifeboat available with first aide and other supplies aside of it.

By this point, the bleeding has just about stopped. He had been told by Dr. Spim that his upgrade could help heal himself, but it was sporadic and unpredictable. It was much more effective on others instead. Raidou looks it over, the wounds still there and sore.]

I... I got the healing factor surgery last week. They said not to rely on it helping myself, but...

[It's at least done a little something now.]

[Better choice. While Bakugo intended to launch himself onto the ship and clamor aboard, even in half-fish mode, he finds the lifeboat lowered over the side instead. Huh, that's a fair bit of forward thinking from the LILITH crew. He pulls back the fastened cover (had to make sure the shit inside wasn't going to fly around in the waves) and scours over the options. Medicine would be optimal, but since they're going back into the water...

Bakugo looks over his shoulder at Raidou's injury. Surprisingly the bleeding's almost stopped, earning the blonde's momentary pause.] What the hell?! What's up with your body?! Do you have some kind of healing factor?! [Of course he's yelling at Raidou now, all pissed off they traveled to the surface for potentially bullshit reason!

... he got the healing implant ...

Boom.]

DAMN YOU, SHITTY SHASHOU!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT BEFORE WE SWAM UP HERE?! DIE!!

[Bonk! Bakugo beans a roll of bandages off Raidou's head in pure (immature) frustration. What a waste of time! Don't just agree with him when there was no need to do that! (Even though he'd have yelled at Raidou for disagreeing too, so... damned if you do, damned if you don't.) Bakugo yanks the covering back over the boat and fastens it down again.

That makes how many people who've gotten that implant now? Something to think about while he swims over, snatches the bandages, and starts to work on at least covering Raidou's wound. Medicine would just wash out, so for now, they should seal them up, let the healing implant deal with the blood flow and potential fish infections.]

[He only gets that direct hit because Raidou was looking at his arm when he threw the bandages. He only shoots him a dirty look as Bakugo gets to work on it. Really, he could do this himself. Back home he'd tell Narumi the same, who would only grouse and grumble at Raidou as he patched him up after a mission anyway.]

I had just got it. They said it might not work well to heal myself. To not count on it that way.

[He didn't get it for himself anyway. It was to help others. If it also manages to heal himself, that's just an added bonus. He looks away from Bakugo as he wraps up his arm, his face slightly red, with no hat to hide it under. Instead, he looks down at his own fins below the water. He's really hoping they made the right choice in accepting the gems.]

I hope they're right when they say this is temporary. This form.

[Score. It's satisfactory regardless. The look Raidou gives him is also part of the victory. So he can some emotion beyond solemn soldier stare. But that's to get mocked later because Bakugo doesn't want to draw the shachimon's attention go the medical boat by taking more time alongside it than they need to. He works fast, efficiently, and skillful, binding over the injury and making sure the open areas are properly covered.]

You still could've said something. Fucking stupid the implant can't heal the user.

[Though Yuji mentioned just as such in his conversation about it. A quick rip from his teeth and he secures the end of the bandage with a knot that's tucked under and then tightened to keep it secure with a flat metal medical clasp. There. That should keep it all bound up and still leave Raidou freedom to move his arm without compromising his range.]

It's temporary. I made sure before I took it.

[Bakugo's always been wary and distrusting of getting any kind of augmentation or implant from LILITH, not even liking the reality they put something in his arm and head already. He got into an argument over the Outsiders' agency regarding the tech put in their bodies... Tch, anyways.]

Done. Let's go before these fuckers target the ship.

[No sense continuing arguing about it. Now though, Raidou can save his energy for healing up others instead of himself, since he's gotten patched up.

He flicks his own tail out of the water for a moment while Bakugo finishes it, to look at the electric blue and dark black fins he was given. Wondering how everyone who took the gem such different ones from one another.

He looks over the bandage with an approving nod in thanks. Raidou slides under the surface of the water to look around for the next target, the next shachimon child only barely visible in the distance of the dark water.

Raidou pulls his spear close to his body before turning to Bakugo with a sly look.]

Race ya.

[And with that simple challenge, he's off like a shot toward the kaiju.]

[While he has no real answer for the silent question about tail variety, Bakugo would figure it's nothing more than the tech taking into account the variety of fish in the sea and then applying different species to their biology. After all, they have simulations that can replicate kaiju and implants that can work (mostly) well with their bodies. It's not improbable to assume.

Once the deed is done, Bakugo slams his fist against the side of the boat, indicating for the crew to either pull the lifeboat up until it's needed again, or to at least let them know they're finished with it and they can restock or do whatever. Then sinks below the waters once more. At least as a merman, he doesn't get affected by the cold ocean as much.

Damn glad they're not doing this at night. He flips his spear around and holds it close to his side for a streamline shape.

Only to blink at the sly expression from Raido and...

-who the fuck is that?! WHEN DOES SHASHOU SUDDENLY GET OFF ACTING LIKE A NORMAL TEENAGE BRAT?!]

GET BACK HERE!!

[You can't drop that shit on him and take advantage of the stun! He's dead meat!]

[Call it a tactical advantage, instead. Maybe the thrill of combat and getting to be of use is helping Raidou feel more like he has since he arrived. Maybe the two have been hanging out enough that he's loosening up ever so little. Either way, he knew that would work like a charm.

There's a chance that Bakugo will beat Raidou to their next target, especially if he uses his Quirk to get out ahead of him. Raidou doesn't particularly care, though. A moment of levity among these dangerous battles and devastating damage couldn't hurt them.

Time to cut off this next beast before it can get any further. Raidou won't hesitate to get out in front of it, to get its focus on them instead of the boats or the shore. He uses the speed he's built up to shoot right past its face, getting its attention as a much more convenient snack.]

[It's still fucking weird! He didn't think Raidou "loosening up" would mean he'd be making this into a damn game. Sure, a stoic challenge or competition, but a smirk-led chase? Or perhaps this dumbass has figured out enough about Bakugo to know how to push those buttons and incite the young hero into action.

Another thing about Bakugo is he hates cheating and underhand methods. Meaning that he's not using his Quirk while tearing after the other merman. He's going to beat this damn ass at this challenge fair and square under his own power and skill! Not going to have his victory cheapened by "you used your Quirk" or some bullshit like that. (Not that he treats all challenges with the same restraint. Depends on circumstances.)

Bakugo follow straight after Raidou, capitalizing on the creature's distraction to slam his trident into the head just behind its eye. The intent's for an instant kill, or at least crippling it enough the rounding battle won't be as difficult. Amid the roar of pain and cloudy jets of blood in the water, Bakugo's trusting Raidou to likewise capitalize on his actions.]

[Raidou has to circle back, too much momentum in the water to just come to a sudden stop easily. He goes high from behind it, above the creature and out of its field of vision. Their weak points were the eyes and blowholes, so he'll go for the latter since Bakugo went for the former. Even in the churning, clouded water, Raidou's aim is excellent. The electric shock from the weapon and direct hits from both of them should be more than enough to take this one out.

They've gotten lucky, he thinks. Anything larger might take more than two of them.
Raidou withdraws his weapon with another fierce tug, catching his breath.

He feels great. Like he could do this all day.]

[Among the dark water, the lightning illuminates their target well. Bakugo doesn't look directly at the sparking blue bands, not wanting to momentarily blind himself. Only when the fiercer part of the attack dies down does he rush in and drive his own trident under the jaw, delivering another electric deluge with the intent of hitting the kaiju's heart. Between the previous shot to the head, the attack on its breathing, and the pump to the heart, it goes down in a twitching death throe.

That's one more down. One more out of a fucking pod of what feels like thousands. Probably only hundreds, but in this size and variety, the specific numbers aren't important. Their only options are to fight until these beast stop coming.

Good thing the adrenaline's high.] We need to keep near the ships.

[While he doesn't want to lead any to the ships, it's worse to be too far out when one inevitably slips past.]

[It is very tempting to take off further into the water in this form. Even if Raidou isn't exactly thrilled with having to be in this form, the ability to move through the water so easily and freely is pretty exhilarating.

But, Bakugo is right. the further from the ships and shore they get, the more danger they're in. The kaiju might not even be the only thing out there, and who knows how many they are. If they get caught by a pod on shachimon instead of just stragglers, it could spell trouble for them.

After taking a moment to look further into the depths, Raidou turns to him with a nod.]

Leading us too far out alone is probably what they want. Let's go back. [And off he goes like a shot again.]

[They don't know what's out there. There's no cowardice in viewing the unknown with skepticism in this particular circumstance. But beyond that, there's a fucking war going on behind them and they can't take the luxury of indulging in their aquatic freedom. What kid doesn't dream of flying through the skies or swimming uninhibited through the sea?

There's plenty of excitement right here and Bakugo turns back to the ships, glancing at the dead creature beside them as he passes it. The brood mother is going to hate all of them for killing so many of her children. Then again, what fucking mother forces her children into a battle knowing there will be casualties? ... Hunt or be hunted, huh.]

Doubtful. They wouldn't have brought the entire fucking pack into the bay if they were going to lead us somewhere. [He doesn't put these creatures' pack mentality in that category. Gang up, eat what you can, get out when full. He hasn't seen any sort of herding, baiting, or other kinds of hunting so far.] This had better just be some hunting shit.

They've been working quite well together to gang up on boats.

[Some team effort on apart of the kaiju. He thinks they're a little more clever than Bakugo is giving them credit for.

Raidou slows his pace down to keep an eye on the area.]

But the more we keep from getting that far, the better off those on the shore will be.

[He stops, frowning when he finally catches his eye on some movement in the water. Two of the smaller ones are headed their way, sticking close together to make up for their lack of size. "Small" being relative when they're both around 5 meters in length.

Raidou readies his spear. He'd rather face them now then try to swim and get caught by his fins.]

Incoming.

They've noticed that's where the food is.

[No different than other predators swarming an area they know prey resides. It's like orcas trying to tip ice floes and wasps raiding bee hives. He's not dismissing them as stupid; he's more categorizing the kind of hunting they're doing.

None of them have been pushing boats together or feigning injury to attract an Outsider's attention, for example.]

Aa. If the big bitch's kept from going ashore, we only have to deal with a few getting to land.

[Seems the majority of them would prefer to keep where she is. Bakugo pauses as the other merman does, narrowing his eyes on the approaching kaiju. Tch, bringing the fight to them, huh...]

I'll blind them, then we strike. [Before charging up another explosion in his hand. Concentrating the beads of sweat, building up so they're not getting pulled off by the water.] Close your eyes.

[And right before those things are on them-] STUN GRENADE! [KA-BLASH!! Light and a shockwave detonates in the water, less to make a concussive explosion of fire and heat, and more focused on the light and sonic boom.]

[Raidou gives him a nod and does as instructed, turning his head as well. He waits for just one quick moment after the blast to turn back, getting ready to dive in.

The kaiju are caught off guard, thrashing angrily in the water in shock and pain from the explosion, hoping they can knock away whatever just blinded them.

Trying to keep up with people who have all these incredible abilities has been a trial of its own for Raidou. It's tough to feel useful in this crowd, and it only makes him want to fight even harder.

Thrashing be damned, Raidou is going to get in there to attack with his spear. He goes low on them this time, trying to come up with his weapon through the chins. While his aim is right, his timing in this water is off, and he gets knocked aside by a tail. That kaiju has caught his scent now, and while it can't see him, it can turn those teeth in his direction. He uses that moment to drive his spear into its side and holds on as the creature takes off blindly in through the water.]

[Interruption, stun, disorientation. His Quirk's not just for destruction, unlike what some ignorant dumbasses want to think. He feels Raidou kick in to take advantage of the attack, water swirling past his sides. Only a second or two later and Bakugo sweeps in after him, gripping the trident he'd previously been carrying between his teeth (had to use both hands).

There's a wide level of strength and abilities between the Outsiders, but even the ones some would view as "weaker" are still out here fighting, filling roles that may surprise some and impress others. Raidou's battling despite his summons being locked and Bakugo's going to respect that decision. Until he thinks it's foolish to let the guy get in over his head. Then there'll be words.

He quickly goes for the second kaiju's head, working to keep up with its crippled senses to make further attacking difficult. Shit, goes through his mind the second that other kaiju swats Raidou aside and tears after him. Or at least goes around and around trying to get the attacking Outsider currently skewered into its side.]</small

[Raidou goes along for the ride, trying to dislodge his weapon from the creature's thick hide. He activates the electricit1y in his weapon, the shock causing the shachimon to slow down enough that he can do so.

He swings it around to bring the trident down on its head, shocking it again as Bakugo comes in to help. Raidou seems him approaching - and the other shachimon that's right on his heels. He grimaces, realizing won't be able to get his weapon withdrawn fast enough.]

[Bakugo grins at the sight in front of him. With the first monster twitching and writhing under Raidou's shock, the other one chasing Bakugo not slowing down at all, it makes for an excellent opportunity to snap off an explosion, blitz past the first one, crash his trident into Raidou's to dislodge it and tackle the guy out of the way right as the two creature collide with each other. Amid the buzzing current of course.

As the water swirls around the, Bakugo rights himself, releasing the other boy with a quick stick of his trident out behind Raidou to keep him from going too far.]

Let them fight each other or a damn second.

[It all happens in seconds, but thankfully, Raidou is fast enough to keep up. He's just happy to have been able to keep a hand on his own trident.

He gives his head a shake to clear it from the sudden flurry of action, floating upright now next to Bakugo to watch the spectacle. Two furious, blinded, electric-shocked and bleeding orca kaiju flailing wildly in the churning water. Absolutely wild.

He gives it a few moments, but there isn't much time to waste. He holds up his weapon at the ready.]

Let's end this.

[Raidou uses the opportunity to get up near the head of one of the two kaiju, and hangs on as it senses he's there and tries to buck him off. He has to hold on by sticking the trident in superficially into its skin, so he can get up near the blowhole for the killing blow. He has to wait for just the right break in the monster's thrashing to be able to pull it off.]
