Good morning! Did you know it's a special someone's birthday today? Actually, we have several birthdays to celebrate, so join us today at the LILICO Game Center! There will be cake! Lots and *lots* of cake. Hope to see you there!

CAKE AND A SURVEY.

Off to the side, the arcade staff has agreed to watch over the table nestled against a wall of the arcade. On it sit two cakes, necessary plates and utensils, a line of sodas, and a decorative sign that says Happy Birthday Yor, Bakugo, and Marcille! The cakes are strawberry shortcake and devil's food. If you want different flavors, you'll have to bring them yourself!

Cakes aside, there's also something interesting on the table: a few sheets of piece of paper and a pen snapped onto a clipboard. A small sign next to it states the following:

Please write your name and birthday!

[ He couldn't decide between the two cake flavors, so instead he has two small-sized pieces, one from each. Hopefully these suit everyone's preferences, but if not, he will absolutely book it to the nearest bakery to get what they want! Even if it's not their birthday party. It's fine.

Anyway, he's filling out the survey, dutifully writing down his name...but hesitates before putting down his birthdate. ]

Oh, right. I should decide on that...

[ How do you pick a day to celebrate yourself? ]

that is exactly what malkuth's trouble is too, drumming her fingers on the table in thought. she knows... the month, but not the day. would it matter any? should she pick one that she had a lot of fun on? to make it memorable...? but ryoji has it worse, she thinks, being the personification of death.

... as unbelievable as it might be just looking at him right now. malkuth nudges him with her shoulder. ]

Don't think too hard about it. Do you have a favorite month? One that means something to you? That's... sort of how I'm going about it myself, I think, since I only remember half my birthday.

[ The thing is, he'd give her the exact same advice, and yet hearing himself, he feels paralyzed by choice. There's several important days that come to mind, but how does he choose the most important one? Or is that the wrong way to go about it completely?

Maybe he should just put a calendar on the wall and throw a dart. ]

A lot happened for me in the month of November, but I haven't even experienced all the months of the year yet, so it seems unfair to exclude those. [ Should he consider Minato's birthday? No, he doesn't want to take away Minato's own day... ] What's the half of yours that you remember?

Here he is, also with a slice of strawberry shortcake on a plate, peering at the clipboard and most definitely not making any overtures towards writing his own birthday down. Maybe if he gets bullied into it later.... ]

Don't remember your birthday? [ Well, harbingers of mankind's doom probably don't come with birthdays preloaded, huh? ] What about the [ .... ] person you were with? Did they have a birthday?

Anyway, he doesn't miss that moment of hesitation in Wriothesley's words, eyes brightening with amusement. ]

His was in March, so I could use his...I wouldn't want to take away from the specialness of his own birthday, though.

[ She is skipping out on cake.... and instead snooping on other people's surveys. Right now, Ryoji is her target — or Death, rather. Does Death even have a birthday? ]

[ Some would say Death's birthday is December 31st, but that day is...well, a bit touchy for Ryoji. Does he want the day he chooses to celebrate his life, such as it is, to be the same as the day he asked SEES whether or not they would kill him?

He's...running into that issue with a lot of the days he's debating. ]

Not...exactly. I had little sense of self beyond my purpose, so my memories of that time are...hazy. I believe it was in December, though.

Do you find that odd? That I want to choose a birthday, I mean.

nothing like strawberry shortcake and devil's food to lift the spirits. does he know who any of the birthday girls/boys are? not really, but considering it was an open invite, it shouldn't matter what reason he has for being here. right?

anyway, feel free to ignore him. he's just munching away and enjoying his dessert — very possibly upside down and gliding past overhead.

oh, but if you don't want your slice, don't mind if he reaches down and takes it off your hands~ ]

[ man wtf, she was still deciding on whether she should indulge herself, dammit. she blinks at the yoinked cake, and turns to glare at the yoinker responsible. ]

Still mad I didn't get you ice cream last time, aren't you.

(He starts to take his slice of strawberry shortcake... and Tsurumaru simply lets Gojo take it, though, he manages to swiftly take the single strawberry from the top, picking it and popping it into his mouth. Isn't that the best part of the cake, too,)

[ Ryoji is still currently Man Solving World's Hardest Riddle deciding on a birthday date and has left his cake neglected on the table next to him, ripe for the taking. Only belated when Gojo takes it— ]

Okay, just put it back when you're done.

...Wait. There's plenty of cake to go around!!

[ this time, choso is halfway through the motions of taking his first bite of his second slice of carefully-chosen cake (strawberry shortcake, soft and spongy with a delightful aroma of real berries and heavy cream made cloudlike and perfect) when the hand of a cruel god descends from above and whips the plate out of his careful grip.

with the laden fork frozen halfway to his mouth, choso looks Up, his nose wrinkling with the ineffable emotion that swells up in him at the sight of this floating mushroom. ]

You could at least do me the displeasure of demanding it first.

[ Marcille approaches! Mostly because she knew it would be funny to see March fill out the survey. She arrives with a green crown and It's My Birthday! sash in green letters, locking her hands behind her back. ]

[ Rather than picking up the piece of cake yourself, Marcille offers you a plate of either option. ]

[ Winter won't say no to cake! Though he does pause to peer at the papers, considering. His birthday was made something of a matter of public record at the last place he was, before LILITH brought him here. It's the only reason he knows when it is at all, now.

Might as well share. Maybe he'll get some gifts when the time rolls around again.

[ Mixed in with the other cakes is Yor's own section where she's placed the cupcakes she bought for, well, herself. There are 48 in total across two three-layer towers. The flavors all vary, from chocolate to white to lemon to red velvet, and so on, and the toppings are of all different colors. Some with candy mixed into the icing, sprinkles, a macaron here, a strawberry there.

When she's not sweating herself to death at the DDR machine, Yor's handing out cupcakes to whoever might have their eye on one. ]

[ Primarily in the interest of continuing to learn the names of the other recruits and remember the faces to go with them, Yesod has made his way here, too. ... july... well, that isn't so far off... but like she thought, just like her. a month only. that just means she has the whole month to figure something out for him, even if she's absolutely going to be thinking about it starting today, and she really wishes she had an idea of netzach's too, but maybe his will come to him before it's too late? hopefully not in a stressful way, hopefully in a kinder way than they had theirs--
