TEAM BUILDING EVENT #1
TEAM BUILDING EVENT #1
βΆ 001. GET ALONG PROMPT
LILITH is highly invested in the physical and mental well-being of its employees. A happy and connected workforce is a strong workforce, after all. However, SYNTHIA has picked up on many instances of discontent between Outsiders - people being blocked by each other on LINE, or teetering on the edge of having a fight (you know who you are and so does SYNTHIA, surprise!) That just won't do. Outsiders who cannot get along will fail miserably when it's time for teamwork. That is why this month's team-building exercise aims to spread positivity amongst the Outsiders. We all gotta get along in the middle of a crisis.
Whether you are looking someone in the face, texting them, or staring at their profile on the network, you receive a prompt from SYNTHIA, followed by an image (exactly as pictured, Shutterstock watermark and all):

True enough, ignoring the prompt a total of 5 times will result in characters being transported to their rooms and put under house arrest - ahem, time out for a total of 2 days. It doesn't hurt to play along, right? As a note, the prompts become especially persistent when you're faced with someone you dislike. Should Outsiders try to leave their room during this time, they will find the automatic doors do not open the typical way (retina scan and thumb print.) They are trapped! Perhaps asking SYNTHIA for some mercy with positive compliments directed her way will do the trick (it won't, bu you can try!) Remember, Outsiders can speak to SYNTHIA anytime. She's everywhere all the time. Consider her your prettier Alexa. In fact, she might be flattered by that compliment.

"LILITH promotes a positive working environment. Why don't you pay this Outsider a compliment or do something nice for them? Or else :) Noncompliance will result in disciplinary action."

βΆ 002. TEAM ACTIVITIES.
You've had your fun back at the MAIN BASE. Now it's time to work. Outsiders will be sent back out towards Tokyo Bay while LILITH's research crew continues to try and detect the source of the strong waves. The city is in disarray after the tsunami, with the less secured buildings torn down and many lives lost. Morale within Neo Tokyo is at an all time low even with civilians comforting one another. Each Outsider will receive a small mission brief marked in the colours of their respective team as they are once again flown via helicopter to the designated area.
REDEMPTION:
Outsiders within REDEMPTION are tasked to spread joy in the streets and at the hospital. Be creative in how you wish to do this, whether it's putting on a performance, a skit, or spreading kindness with gifts and sweet gestures. Those with a Style Upgrade are encouraged to use their chip to don funny and eye catching costumes to entertain the civilians. Those with a healing upgrade are highly encouraged to help medical staff.
REVELATION:
Outsiders within REVELATION are tasked with babysitting duties. Many parents are still recovering in the hospital and there's no one to watch their children while they recover. A lot of pets need looking after too! Make sure the children and furbabies are fed, clothed and getting enough sleep. This can even include filling in for classrooms that have recently lost their teacher. Outsiders in REVELATION are encouraged to keep a tally of the census and go looking for lost children if someone seems to be missing.
EVERLIGHT:
Outsiders within EVERLIGHT will be tasked with keeping the people fed and the local businesses running. This can mean organising a soup kitchen, preparing homecooked meals for the civilians and delivering hot meals door to door. It can also mean helping local businesses with repairs to their shops, bringing them supplies and filling in for the staff they might have lost. The city might have just been hit with a tsunami, but that doesn't mean it needs to shut down!
BRIMSTONE:
Outsiders within BRIMSTONE are the luckiest of the lot - they get to be clean up crew. They will be mandated to wear hazmat suits in outrageous colours along with breathing gear. Why? Because they will be scrubbing the whole place of rubble, dirt, debris and corpses. Yes, corpses. Outsiders within BRIMSTONE will be given a census and tasked with identifying any dead body they find. They will then need to transport the corpse to the nearest LILITH disposal truck on a stretcher, where LILITH will cremate it properly. Note that they will be some survivors in the mix, so be prepared to administer first aid and conduct rescue operations accordingly.
Within certain parts of the city (the sewers, in particular, which have flooded with water), the natural flora seems to have been poisoned by a mysterious element. Toxic, monstrous plants are coming alive and attacking anything they see! They bind and strangle Outsiders with their vines and sting them with their nettles. These plants need to be dealt with before they overgrow. Fire & ice works well on them.

Outsiders will need to finish their team missions. However, if they have time afterward and want to do some overtime, they are more than welcome to help the other teams on their missions.

"Good afternoon, Angels of LILITH. Please pay close attention to the brief sent to you. We have specific duties for each team. Once you have done enough work, you will be prompted to help another team with their tasks if you desire. Our research crew is searching for the source of the kaiju and we have received information it is in the ocean. Please be ready in case it makes an appearance again before we can find it. You will be staying in Moonlight Inn & 11 Hours hostel once again as we should remain close by. Thank you for the cooperation."
Outsiders will need to finish their team missions. However, if they have time afterward and want to do some overtime, they are more than welcome to help the other teams on their missions.
βΆ 003. IT ISN'T OVER YET.
Those who remember the mission brief two weeks ago will know that the first shockwaves are usually the sign of an impending kaiju. LILITH is conducting their own investigations, but with a fresh and energetic workforce it only makes sense to ultilize it. All Outsiders will be given orders to collect samples and bring it back for ongoing testing. By samples, they mean contaminated fish or ocean life remains, or samples of the toxic plants appearing in the sewers.
For Outsiders braving the sewers, they will need to don the silly hazmat suits issued to BRIMSTONE for their own protection and fight off the monstrous plants to clip some samples. It's encouraged to get leaves, stems, seeds, flowers or the whole plant if you can manage it. (Note that collecting the whole plant in a sample container will result in said plant hissing and striking you through the glass.)
For Outsiders who feel like taking a swim, they will be given diving suits and ordered to take a dive in Tokyo Bay. Once in the waters, they are to hunt down and capture any contaminated fish or marine life they can find. This means tuna fish with three eyes or octopi with two heads and 16 legs. It's encouraged to capture them live, but LILITH will also accept remains or waste samples. (Note that the available oxygen in the tank is limited and attempting to swim too far from Neo Tokyo will likely result in an Outsider drowning. )

Raidou Kuzunoha XIV | Devil Summoner | OTA
[So far, Raidou has gotten along pretty well with most other Outsiders. Mostly, though, that's due to his quiet and polite nature. He's unobtrusive and not very conversational, and the most time he seems to spend on base with anyone is when sparring or training. Even then, it's all business.
He also spends a fair amount of time keeping the place tidy, just to keep busy. He's also pretty good at it, for whatever that's worth, faster than the roombas. Today is no different, with Raidou working on the windows. He's looking a little distant as he does, looking out at the city with far-off, wistful look. Most days he's Raidou is good running from his feelings, but sometimes they catch up at the strangest times.
If you happen to be walking past him as he simply minds his own business, Synthia will prompt you into compliment time for your sad-looking colleague.]
βΆ002. Teamwork
[Among the Everlight camp of this disaster relief effort is Raidou helping to cook. He doesn't have too much of a chance to do that on the base. He can be such a domestic type for a demon summoner. He can help other Everlights who might not much cooking experience with it if they like.
In true Raidou fashion, it's everyone else he's worried about before himself. After help getting the kitchen caught up with food, he'll be packing up boxed lunches and bringing them not just to civilians, but the other team members as well. He'll be stopping by where other Everlights are on clean up duty; at classrooms or parks where Revelation members are tending to the kids and the pets; to the hospitals or street corners where Redemption members are entertaining the weary civilians; to the check-in points where Brimstone members trudge through their terrible task.
It's the least he feels he can do to help. He sets down a blanket somewhere nearby and beings to unpack the boxes and hot tea he's brought so all can share. Even if you're just walking past, he'll speak up.]
Have you eaten yet?
βΆ003. Clean Up
[Nanami warned him of this very thing recently. Raidou's tendency to work as he does would catch up with him, and make him more of a liability than an asset. And now here he was, caught by himself facing several of these plant monsters by himself after working too long, without a chance to rest or sleep himself. He doesn't want to think. He wants to work, and he wants to fight.
The bulk of the plants were no problem for someone like him, lightning fast with a sword, so he doesn't even call for help. This should be easy, as he's fought much worse alone. But after a few too many hits of poison, he's slowing down. A vine shoots out and he misses his mark by a fraction, just enough for the monster to knock his sword from his grip and take hold of his arm. Without his demons, he feels useless. One could easily help burn these plants down, or cure the poison that's weakening him.
Maybe you come on the scene to find Raidou's right arm tangled within the plants, him shakily reaching for his sword as he swats off attacks with his other. Or maybe you're someone who, after he very reluctantly does so, puts a distress call out on the network for help.]
teamwork
Once meals are prepared, and he's slipped away for a moment, he spends a bit of time searching for the people that he recognises. He knows all about this boss-ordered need to compliment people, and Yuji knows that's the kind of thing that he can do. If it's compliments people want, then he's definitely the guy to do it! ]
Yo, Raidou!
[ Flopping down on the blanket beside him, he grins. ]
Did you make this? It looks great.
no subject
I did. Most of it. It's a team effort, though.
[He'll pass a box Yuji's way as he also grabs a nearby thermos, grabbing a cup for himself and one for Yuji.]
Coffee this time though, since I had a say in it. Though I did my best considering the circumstances.
[No time to give the coffee the TLC he loves to do, but it's still decent coffee. The boxed lunches are all food meant to be eaten cold, and mostly soba and vegetables. No sense trying to keep meals hot in this January weather.
As he hands over the coffee, Raidou seems to look past Yuji for a moment, suddenly looking put out. But what he's seeing is another one of those compliment prompts from Synthia. He's been targeted heavily with these things in an effort to get him to be less quiet and formal with his coworkers.
Well, at least Raidou knows he's not the only one who's been getting these. His eyes shift to Yuji.]
Ah, you... You're a very hard worker, Itadori. Thank you for all the help.
[Good. That placates the notification, and he lets out a little sigh of relief.]
no subject
[ Look at this guy, always taking care of him... It's really nice, actually.
Taking the box in hand, he gets it open and gets his chopsticks ready as he waits for Raidou. He's not normally a big coffee guy, but he's not going to turn down a good drink when there's still so much work to be doing.
Maybe he should be getting back to it soon...
Frowning, he watches Raidou until he realises what's going on, and then he laughs, shaking his head and waving a hand. ]
They're getting to you too, huh? I haven't had that many alerts... Maybe it's because I say those kinds of things anyway.
[ He takes a drink of the coffee with a pleased sigh. ]
Have you had a hard time with all the compliments?
no subject
I've had... a lot. Practically every other Outsider I see, seems like.
[So that's a big yes to that question.]
I really didn't want to find out what happens if I didn't comply.
[He's not very trusting of LILITH. But who was?]

001. Get Along
But he's also not a hypocrite and isn't going to tell someone to do something he's not willing to do himself. It's one of the reasons he's more acknowledging of this capped train conductor (deal with it, Raidou) thanks to the guy's regular work at keeping the Everlight dorms clean. Bakugo's found him working on tidying the place a number of times. Whether that's out of care, dutiful attention, a compulsion, or just needing something to do, he hasn't asked.
Noting Raidou working on the windows, however, Bakugo only intends to pass by without conversing; he's not one for small talk in the first place. He'll at least make sure with a glance that Raidou's properly situated on the ladder if he's working on one of the higher windows... But then that prompt pops up in his face and his expression twitches in annoyance. This fucking thing again?]
Goddammit! Are you also getting this bullshit message, Shashou?
[Well at least it's a conversation starter?]
no subject
As soon as he turns to Bakugo, up pops the same message in his field of vision. Synthia has been extra insistent about this with Raidou, whose mood and demeanor has been monitored and deemed to be not up to par. Clearly what he needs is better relationships with his fellow Outsiders. Open up, make friends!
Raidou sighs from his perch.]
... Yes. Again.
no subject
The answer comes in the form of that sigh, well before the other boy bothers to make words. Great. Bakugo rests his hands on his hips in annoyance, glaring through the prompt in his vision up towards Raidou.]
Just ignore it. They're the ones that stuck us in this shithole in the first place.
no subject
It'll go away if you just do it. Otherwise it keeps popping up. I really don't want to know what happens if you don't.
[Raidou thinks back to the mistletoe, and the compulsion it gave him. Reaching out to grab a stranger by the hand not once, but twice. The scandal!
He folds his arms, looking at Bakugo looking really unsure about this. The warning pops up in his field of vision again, bigger than it was before. Synthia has noticed some tension with this coworker.]
You, um. I think you're probably nicer than you like to let on, for whatever reason.
[So there. Raidou's bluntness isn't something everyone gets to see, so consider yourself lucky(?). It actually takes a moment for his warning to clear from his vision, Synthia taking a moment to determine whether or not this is actually a compliment. Good enough.]

Shield your face.
[ a brief instruction, though he knows raidou might not be in the best position to do that. oh well. the suits shouldn't be flammable. with a raise of his pen, the fire swirls out from the tip and lashes toward the vines--- slicing through them with little resistance. it causes the mutated plants to recoil.
and then leona snorts. ]
You whackin' weeds with a sword? Doesn't seem very efficient.
no subject
He feels the heat of the fire, and then the plants mercifully letting go. He stumbles, but immediately goes to scoop up his precious sword.
Raidou backs up, sword held out in front of him in case the plants decide to make another swipe at him. Not now, anyway, too busy being singed. He gives Leona a nod.]
Thank you. Normally it would be fine, it's just-- there were a lot, and they--
[Poisoned him, which is evident when he starts to sway on his feet. Raidou almost makes a move to grab Leona's shoulder to steady himself, but stops and opts to kneel instead, using the sword planted into the ground in front of him to keep his balance.]
no subject
[ the best time for someone to get lectured is when they've obvious put themselves in a losing situation, and there's no way that raidou could spin it any other way. ]
'specially 'cause you must've been doin' other things before comin' down here, right? This ain't your original assignment.
[ and he follows raidou down, kneeling beside him. ]
I can't draw the poison out... but I can at least seal up your suit. Can ya at least keep an eye out while I take care of you.
[ it's not leona's specialty: what he would call 'domestic' magic. ]
no subject
He nods at that question. Raidou is an Everlight, and spent all morning cooking and assembling meals, then all afternoon delivering them to the civilians and each other team. When he got to Brimstone, he was saddened by the horrible task they were saddled with, and wanted to help. That's all he ever wants to do.
He looks at Leona, answering his request by pulling his sword form the ground and holding it ready in his right hand.]

Still, she's here to do something simple. Something she's been ruminating on for days. And when she finds Raidou, she's not sure what to make of him just. Staring. Out into nothing. No sign that he's even aware she's behind him.
So she clears her throat. Loudly. Enough so that it nearly makes her cough. ]
Take a break. I need you for something.
no subject
[Raidou blinks at Lucy, a little embarrassed to get snuck up on like that. He sets down the spray bottle he was holding.]
Ah, of course. What's going on?
no subject
Don't ask questions. It's too urgent for that. [ And if they linger, she'll lose her nerve. Or the contents of her backpack will get cold.
She turns and gestures her head. She barely gives him time to respond before her feet move again. ]

Are you alright? [ She looks impassive, and she sounds like she only barely remembered that inflexion is what makes it sound like a question, but she wouldn't be asking if she wasn't concerned, right? ]
no subject
As soon as he falls free, though, Raidou takes a knee and holds his forehead. He feels so dizzy and nauseous from the poison, and any time he moves too fast, it hits him. That's how the plant got the jump on him.
The plant is retreating a bit for now, but it hasn't left yet.]
I-I am. Thank you. Nice shot.
no subject
You are welcome. How well can you move? [ She's trying to decide if maybe a tactical retreat would be wiser, as she reloads her gun with a small bag of powder. ]
no subject
I can keep moving. But your weapon is probably more effective than mine. I couldn't bring my gun with these hazmat suits.
[Even through the small window on the suit, she can probably see the sweat running down his face, but he's doing his best to ignore it while this creature is still alive.]

[It's something to do, but that sounds pretty lame, doesn't it? He just shrugs instead.]
no subject
How about I take over for a bit then? It's good to work hard, but you shouldn't overdo it.
[ Not that he thinks the kid is suddenly going to keel over from some cleaning, but breaks are nice nonetheless. ]
no subject
Really, I'm fine. Thank you. But ah, if you want to help...
[Raidou turns with his bottle of cleaner, and sprays the window down completely. He reaches into his nearby bucket of supplies, and hands a cleaning cloth to Wriothesley.]
You can help if you really like. [He can probably reach higher spots than Raidou can, anyway.]
