KAIJU FIGHT #1
KAIJU FIGHT #1
βΆ 001. SEAS THE DAY.
On the morning of the 1st, sirens will blare, forcing every Outsider and Neo Tokyo civilian awake. While it hasn't been activated for a while, every citizen within the city knows this alarm all too well - it wails through the city whenever a Kaiju has been detected, ordering everyone to return to their homes immediately and stay there until they receive further information. Outsiders gazing at Neo Tokyo will see the armored city in its full technological splendour for the first time today. Once the civilians have returned to their homes, machinery within the buildings will work like clockwork, sinking each and every LILITH-augmented building beneath the ground. Just in time, too, because the waves are starting to roar again, crashing beyond the shore and flooding the city once more. Observant Outsiders may note that not every building has been modified. The older ones remain standing, vulnerable to the impending flood. Does anyone live in those buildings? The answer is yes, but that's not a priority at the moment.
Every Outsider will receive a summon, ordering them to prepare for battle. The Kaiju has been identified and located. It's show time.

Waiting for the Outsiders at the bay appear to be ... expensive-looking, personal yachts? This has to be a mistake, right? It's no mistake. Through intel LILITH has exchanged with international companies, it appears that this particular Kaiju has a fondness for overturning civilian yachts, and there's no better way to attract it than to leave it its favourite bait. The goal is to attract these Kaiju towards the boats and then attacking.
The ships may look like they're outfitted for a fancy yacht party. In fact, some exploring down below deck in the lounging room, one may find caviar on fancy ritz, oyster tower, little finger sandwiches with the crusts cut off and bougie smelly cheese that nobody in LILITH's pay grade can identify. On another table, there is fancy ramen spoons filled with microgreens, crystal jelly vinegarette, and a thin slice of parmesan cheese. Some further looking may find some fine aged wine, but you're not here to drink and party, you're here to fight a Kaiju! Right? Right.
Despite the fact everything about these yachts just look like... fancy yachts... they are actual warships that are mounted with naval artillery such as swivel guns, missiles and torpedos. Spears, harpoon guns and fishing nets can also be found and used if an Outsider is more comfortable getting extremely close to the monsters. There's no time for a proper seafaring course, so Outsiders will be given a quick run down on how the controls work, and be sent on their way. They will also be given a special jewel-like implant that attaches to the skin, right along the forehead, and told to wear it if they need to go into the water. "Don't worry about it," the LILITH crew says. "But it'll be one hell of a ride if you use it."
Alongside the crew, Seok Dang seems to be also assisting (?) though he's gotten a hold of the reception food down below. Did he smell like fine wine? Possibly. But that's definitely a fancy, half eaten cracker in his hand. He's also got on a bright, neon life preserver. Maybe someone doesn't know how to swim.

Nobody uses that phrase anymore, but you know what? You do you, SD.
Every Outsider will receive a summon, ordering them to prepare for battle. The Kaiju has been identified and located. It's show time.
"Angels of LILITH. We have located the Kaiju coming from beyond the sea. A full mission brief including the information we have gathered will be sent to you immediately. For now, make your way to the bay where your transport will be waiting. Be prepared for anything, but mostly, be prepared to swim."

βΆ 002. WHALE WATCHING.
Minutes into their ship's course, the boats will rock violently, as if those already violent waves have somehow come alive. There is something in the water! The mission brief would have been shared with them sometime during their trip, but maybe Outsiders want to pull up on their implant the image and debrief shared once again now that there is some action. The orca-like Kaiju trying to reach the shores of Neo Tokyo is called Shachimon, and she's been the cause of the violent waves and flooding we've seen for the past few weeks. Alongside of her and are her children orca who love to mimic everything their mother does. The biggest one, the matriarch of the pod, is over 60 meters in length - large enough to swallow a boat whole. The younger ones are smaller but just as ferocious, spanning from the size of a car to the size of a bus. The youngsters are a size small enough that they can leap out of the water, sometimes crashing down onto people and ships. Beware!
Shachimon will be fighting to knock over boats, or climbing on boats with their amphibious legs. Once they get their hands on humans or Outsiders, they pull them into the water, tearing them limb from limb to feed. Their control over the waves are no joke, either. With a powerful swing of their tail, they can conjure up tsunamis capable of overturning ships. The matriarch, if left to her own devices, seems bent on submerging Neo Tokyo to make food of all its citizens.

β β β MONSTER DEBRIEF SHEETAs a note, Outsiders who wish to remain on land and help civilians there may do so. There are waves flooding the city, and some of the smaller, quicker Shachimon will have made it to shore. They will need to be taken care of before they can terrorise the city.
NAME: Shachimon
HEIGHT: Younger whales are 4 - 18 metres. The matriarch is 60 meters in length.
WEIGHT: 1500kg - 5000kg
CLASS: Highly dangerous.
LOCATION: Large bodies of water
ABILITIES: Use of sonar to detect any water movement. Fast swimmer. Very sturdy body thanks to all that whale blubber. High intelligence - commonly works together as a pod to take down prey. Capable of creating tsunamis that overturn boats. The largest Shachimon can sink a city if not stopped.
WEAKNESS: Electricity (since it will be inside water), dissection, spearing its eyes or blowhole. Loud vibrations within the water can stun or confuse it.
EXTRA NOTES: Dislikes and will attempt to overturn civilian yachts. Carnivorous, eating marine life and human flesh. Sadistic personality, may play with their food prior to eating.
β β β MISSION OBJECTIVE:
β Lead the Shachimon away from the shore.
β Extermination of Shachimon in the water and if they reach the shore.
β Protection of nearby fishermen's boats and civilians within those boats.
β Teamwork to destroy the matriach Shachimon.
β Bring back specimens (live or deceased) for research purposes.

βΆ 003. OCEAN GEMS.
Shachimon are most deadly in the water and their go-to strategy is to pull others into their turf, where they have the advantage. That's where those jewel-like implants come in. These implants, called OCEAN GEMS, when attached to the skin, temporarily modify the body. Once activated, nanobots will invade the bloodstream and alter the user's lungs, giving them a set of breathable gills. Their legs will also be altered, giving them fins and the tail of a fish. This is a recent invention by LILITH ever since the first Shachimon was spotted a few years ago, and the technology is still experimental. This means that the transformation process will be significantly uncomfortable, feeling a bit like being asphyxiated and having your legs sewn together at the same time. Deactivating the gem and turning back feels just as uncomfortable, and being experimental technology, it can take a while before the user can successfully revert back. Those who want to fight in the water and lack any weapons or abilities that can be used can request Seok Dang for a weapon. There's a limited supply, but they will be given a special trident. Directly driving the spear into one of the kaiju will electrocute it, giving a higher chance for higher damage. These tridents will be handed out to those who want to use their Ocean Gem and ask.
It's up to Outsiders whether they want to use this new technology or not. Being able to fight the monsters on their own terrain is certainly an advantage, so LILITH would highly encourage it.

βΆ 004. MEDICAL BAY.
Healers and those with medical experience will be placed on the warship with a red flag on it. Dr. Spim & Alex will also be present on this ship to assist any major injuries to both LILITH and civilian fisherman alike. This ship is bigger than the others, and while stocked up with the same artillery, it is also stocked with beds and medical supplies. This will be the Outsider's naval medical bay during the siege on the Shachimon and all injured Outsiders or civilians will need to be transported there. This ship will also need to be protected heavily, because once the Shachimon catch on that all the injured, vulnerable prey are being transported to the larger ship, they will start to target that ship in particular. Characters that need immediate medical help should be transported to this ship via a dataportal. Each yacht has a dataportal that can teleport anyone instantly to the medical ship. The dataportals are also located down below deck to prevent them from getting damaged.
βΆ 005. THE CALM AFTER THE STORM.
It's a bloody, soggy and gruesome battle and the seas' waves begin to calm down, the sea filled with kaiju carcasses. LILITH's clean up crew is working hastily to collect these corpses, but with the Outsiders' occupied and recovering from their fresh battle, help is limited. Search and rescue scavenges the sea to find any civilians who didn't make it or may need medical help. Meanwhile, the valiant teamwork and effort has paid off. After many hits from many different weapons, artillery, natural abilities, etc. the matriarch kaiju has been downed and sank to the bottom of the ocean floor. LILITH's team will work to retrieve the massive carcass, though it will take awhile. Those who put in notable effort will receive praise and a little extra payout. Outsiders will see an instant transfer of funds to their account: 340,000,000 KRYPTOS. This is roughly about 2500 USD.
The intense battle will have lasted several days and Outsiders are free to go from land to sea as little or as often as they like. It is all over, though, and Outsiders will be called to return to the MAIN BASE for rest and recovery. LILITH will also be searching for the rift where the kaiju came from while Outsiders recover. A message from an unknown voice will pop up an hour or so after all Outsiders have returned to the MAIN BASE. Outsiders may use this time to socialize in a commons area, wash up in the showers, get a meal in the cafeteria or rest.

βΆ 006. AFTERWORD.
Welcome to our first Kaiju log! All prompts are highly encouraged but OOCly optional. ICly, characters can choose to fight in the ocean, on the ships or stay behind on land and protect the city. At the end of the siege, characters who accepted an Ocean Gem will be asked to return it. It's experimental technology, so LILITH will need to do more tweaking before they can properly release it. Outsiders who use the gem may have whatever fish tail they like, as long as it is a sea creature.
Feel free to NPC your characters' fights with the smaller kaijus. The main fight with the Shachimon matriarch will be determined via a HP-based system (See below).
Please note that all tags in this log count for 2 reward points each. Ask any further questions below!
Below is also the month at a glance. We understand the CALENDAR has been a little inconsistent, but the mod team is sorting all of this out. Expect a FEEDBACK POST this month as well so we can check in with the playerbase and make any adjustments to the game. This log, even if the time stamp says JANUARY, will count for FEBRUARY AC.

βΆ 001. SEAS THE DAY.
π₯ β Suiting Up
[Blaring alarms, warning announcements, a city on high alert, what a great damn way to wake up and greet the day. Flashbacks of U.A. being invaded and Mandalay's telepathic warnings about villains attacking the mountain training camp sweep through his mind, sending a burst of adrenaline surging through his veins. It's happening. After two fucking months of ominous training and talk about the kaiju assault, the moment's here. Is it the same as suiting up for missions back home? Not entirely. This seems like something out of a damn movie. Fuck the movies. It's real life. Suit, pants, shirt, jacket, gloves, gauntlets, boots, gear, mask, Bakugo suits up into his hero costume and emerges from his room in Everlight.
The orders are to go to the bay for transport and that's where he's aiming. Walking with a deliberate, purposeful stride, shoulders leant forward just slightly in a hint of impatience, focus, and eagerness, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight is on the scene now. It's stiff fucking freezing outside... Though his ultimate goal is the bay, he acknowledges now more than ever that he's been slotted on this team. Those who he's had more interaction with are going to get a scrutinizing once-over upon nearing him or interacting with Dynamight, to make sure they're ready for the mission ahead of them. Depending on when someone catches him, the young hero's expression ranges anywhere from brows furrowed into sharp angles as he focuses on what's coming, to eyes wide and lips curved in an intense eerie slasher grin of battle-lust, because he's been WAITING for this damn monster to show its stupid face! You extras better not get in his way if you want to join ranks with him!]
π₯ β Yacht Transport
[Those are some big fucking boats. Initially he's taken back by the size and splendor of them, disgusted at this random show of opulence. Until he realizes their purpose is little more than cover for the war machines underneath. Heh, guess that's some credit where it's due. Dynamight boards one of the vessels and stakes out on the deck, close to the bow to keep an eye out for whatever's coming towards them, or whatever they're approaching. He stays quiet amid the faint drizzle of the morning ocean weather and reviews the mission briefing, as well as the information provided about the kaiju LILITH has managed to acquire.
While he avoids going below deck, not wanting to be caught missing when an attack happens, Dynamight procures a thermos of hot tea with honey, lemon, and pepper flakes, a veritable firebomb among the cold air. The few people that know about his Quirk will likely understand why he's drinking such a hot mixture, heating up his body against the frigid atmosphere and building a sweat. Alternatively, you can find him stretching or working out on the deck to warm up, though when it takes too long, Dynamight will take some quick lessons on how to handle the navel artillery. Find him manning the swivel guns, aiming harpoon guns, or assisting the crew with the missile and torpedo reticles. Just in case he needs to use them during the fight. Never hurts to be prepared.]
βΆ 002. WHALE WATCHING.
π₯ β Shachimon Fight Opening
[Good thing he doesn't get seasick! Waves roll beneath the yachts, pitching the footholds beneath like some demonized bounce house. Among the rough surf, water swells upward in a dark mound before a ebony fin pierces the bubble and breaks it in a slide of ocean water along inky rubber and glistening bone white. The kaiju: Shachimon. Or in Dynamight's mind, what Gang Orca would look like if he were ever mutated into a fucking monster. Too bad that blubber head isn't here to try and talk the beast down! There's only one thing left to do in this case: WE SMASH!! Dynamight takes a running leap and shoves off the railing of the yacht, a hard explosion from his hands aimed behind him jettisons him out into the air. Opening attack? Why the hell not?!]
DIE!! [Take out the leader and the rest crumble into disorganized chaos! Flipping once, he slams both hands down, aiming straight or the kaiju's dome, and detonates a massive explosion against its water-logged flesh. The recoil sends him flying into another aerial maneuver, swinging around and landing on one of the yachts nearby with a snarl as he twists round to face the water. Shachimon's submerging, but that thick skin wasn't going to break so easily.] Tch-! Goddamn fish fuck.
π₯ β Triple Tactics
[Dynamight focuses on three aspects in the battle:
(1) Prioritizing the matriarch of the pod, he continually attacks Shachimon's eyes, face, and blowhole with his Explosion Quirk, slamming explosions against the blubbery hide and then getting the hell out of dodge before she can swat him off her or submerge below the sea again. His explosions cause fire damage, concussive force, and makes use of the light & shockwaves to disrupt the creature's sight and sonar respectively. If that means landing atop the beast and shoving his entire arm down her blowhole before igniting a massive explosion... HE'S DOING IT!!] "Inhale this, bitch!"
(2) Whenever Shachimon's underwater, Dynamight changes tactics to fend off her smaller offspring by outright blowing the ever-living fuck out of them. One explosion after another sends him bouncing along the surface of the water, spiking their shiny black heads back into the depths with burn marks or shattered craniums (after enough damage) or cramming an explosive blast into any open mouths that come at him! Since these Shachimon are smaller, Dynamight takes to attacking their "softer" parts, striking tails and limb joints to attempt at crippling their motions so his teammates can pick them off easier. If he's able to charge up a strong enough explosion, Dynamight will go for a fatal strike and to blow the Shachimon up in a splattering of chum chunks all over the ocean surface.
(3) Though he wants to take out the monsters first and foremost (win to save ideology) Dynamight won't ignore the boats. They serve as his footholds and he can't lose his "islands" on the open waters. This speaks so fucking highly of just how amazing Star and Stripe was, because she did this same kind of fight, in the sky, using fucking fighter jets as her footholds! Noticing a Shachimon clamoring onto the side of a yacht, Dynamight swoops in and slams a handful of explosions straight into the side of its head, blasting an eye and practically 'punching' the damn thing off the side of the ship. Another time, he hits the deck thanks to a well-timed (LUCKY ASS) swat from a smaller kaiju, twists over onto his back, aims his hand palm first up at the lunging creature and-] "AP SHOT!" [-fires a concentrated 'beam' of explosive energy straight into its gaping maw. And if you happen to see Dynamight grabbing one of those orca beasts by the tail with one hand, then blasting himself and it into the air with his other hand to turn into a spinning explosion-powered vortex...] "X-Catapult!" [ = yeet fish!]
π₯ β Dynamight Endangered
[Clattering against the railing, Dynamight quickly flips back up to his feet, skidding on his boots as one hand drags across the slick deck.] Kuso! [He's soaked in seawater, body alternating between sweltering hot from the exertion and getting splashed repeatedly with freezing cold ocean water and temperatures. It's threatening to give him a damn thermal shock at times! Much to Dynamight's frustration, this is not the best setting for his style of battling. Water and cold are detriments to his Explosion Quirk, as the cold makes it take longer for him to build up the sweat he needs to get going with his explosions, and water can somewhat dilute or wash away his nitroglycerine-like sweat. Going underwater likewise is dangerous for him, because even though nitroglycerine can detonate in water, his explosions aren't as powerful. And he's certainly not as mobile via them as he is in the air. All that meaning Dynamight is doing his damnest to stay out of the water and bounce between the yachts (and off kaiju) as needed to keep to his above-water footholds.
But not everything goes as planned. If his teammate or a crew member takes the plunge, Dynamight doesn't wait for someone else to fish them out, but rather ramps over the side of the boat and dives into the water after them. It's freezing, it's dark, there's motion all over the place grabbing and tossing at him. But he powers through, shuddering as the frigid water shocks his body. Muscles tense as he cuts into the depths and manages to locate the other body, then grabs hold and kicks towards the surface. It takes effort, teeth grit as he forces his sweat towards his palm, and ignites it. The dull "BOOMPH!" propels both him and the other faster through the water, breaking the surface and launching out of the sea. Back onto the boat, where they land in a crouched (for him) and flopped (for them) position, water splashing everywhere.] Bastard... Watch your damn footing!
[Everything's soaked and Dynamight quickly claps his hands together, rubbing them to try and encourage heat back into his body. Just in time to notice another Shachimon climbing up the side of the boat. Snarling, Dynamight gets to his feet and puts himself between the monster and the waterlogged extra. Tired, drenched, cold, his sweat's offline for a few moments. Looks like he's going to have to handle this thing the old-fashioned way...]
no subject
he can only presume they were. he fills the immediate space is his dark colored flames, which fortunately, don't burn any of the ship itself. he presumed it was good to cover the perimeter in his face, if just to prevent too many of them from sliding on deck.
that said, he hears another explosion and his eyes drift upwards. then, it's impossible to ignore the yelling that sounds with. hence, he shoots off a message that will inevitably block bakugou's ocular vision. sorry, not sorry. ]
Loud. [ as if warning him. ]
no subject
Fuck off!
[tiny explosions pop and crack before bakugou crashes the handful of bombastic detonations straight into the creature's eye, blasting the entire beast to the side and off the ship. he doesn't follow it into the water, instead catching himself with a double-fisted explosion above the surface of the water and rebounding up onto the ship's deck again. boots skid against the wet surface before he straightens up and stalks to the port side.
just in time for another kaiju, bigger than the last, to slap its clawed hands on the rim and haul itself up like a gym rat pulling over the bar. bakugou grins up at it before hauling one hand in front of him palm out, other hand circling in front of that like a cupping reticle. aim, concentrate, focus his explosions to one point, right when that beast opens its filthy maw, and-
Loud.
BWOOMSH!! the beam of concentrated heat races through the creature's cheek rather than punching through the roof of its mouth, sending it roaring backwards while cupping its face.]
WHAT THE FUCK?!
[WHO THE HELL SENT HIM THAT?! furiously grabbing digital hands around that message like he's choking the life out of it and finding the sender. wait- he recognizes this username!! this asshole contacted him while he was trapped in his damn room! no help at all!
DIALING SAID CONTACT FOR VOICE CALL!!]
YOU GOT SOMETHING TO FUCKING SAY, USE VOICE YOU SHITTY IDIOT!!
[yeah. loud.]
no subject
when he accepts the call, the voice is sudden and booming. in some ways, this could almost be comical as he raises his sword, placing it against the teeth and jaws of a smaller shachimon before inserting his blade straight into its throat. he allows his dark mana to filter straight into its body, eating away at the orca-like kaiju, before cupping his ear belatedly with his free hand.
but obviously since the oculars sound almost seem to resonate within them— it does little to lower the actual sound. hence, he hangs up almost immediately (lol), to then shoot another text. ] You're way too noisy.
I don't know if I can be on call with you. [ there is zero self-reflection to be had here. but in theory, as they're fighting off the kaiju, their positions should be getting closer to one another.
is that good or bad though... only time can tell. ]

Dynamight Endangered
It means that he can spot Bakugo, sliding across the water and getting knocked by one of the orca creatures down into the depths. It feels especially stupid, since he was going over to offer some help, but when Bakugo drags him back up he's prepared to laugh it off and offer thanks, even if he already anticipates the shouting, angry scolding he's going to get in return. That's just the kind of person Bakugo is, right, and Yuji's getting used to it even if it's still pretty weird. ]
Woah, thanks for that! These things are heavier than I thought -
[ But there's no time - there's another orca. It rushes towards them, and Yuji grits his teeth, glancing at Bakugo - stood there, looking tired, having just helped save him - and he makes a decision. Rushing forward, he lifts himself and slides between the two of them, twisting his body to leave a punch against the stomach of the creature, which lurches and twitches a little. It's not enough to knock it solidly off the boat, but Yuji's attention is split between it and Bakugo, and he breathes out a soft noise. ]
Do you need a weapon, dandelion? You can borrow my sword for now!
no subject
Shit, he BETTER know how to swim! After that blow, Dynamight didn't waste a second diving in after him. Deku's not here, but he'll be damned if he loses another ally to some fucking monster! Finding Yuji amid the turbulent water isn't easy, but that pink hair and red hoodie/shoes combo makes a difference as he fists the sorcerer by the back of the shirt and hauls him up. Towards the surface, through the surface, out of the water, and back onto the deck in a water-logged mess. He's not apologizing at all for dumping Yuji onto the boat, muscles shivering and contracting from the freezing cold. His hands are soaked, his palms ache from the forceful secretion and ignition, even if he's on his feet between Yuji and the rim of the ship, Dynamight's officially stalled for the moment.] Don't give me that shit! You're-
[His rough voice cuts off when another kaiju's shadow falls over them and he lifts his head to face it. Shit. He can't use his Quirk at the moment. And he's not going to let this thing take Yuji down. Slamming his hands into fists, he braces his legs, readies his arms-! ... and watches Yuji forcefully interject himself between the Shachimon and him.] --!?
[WHO ASKED YOU TO GET IN FRONT OF HIM, GARI HEAD?! The care and question's a one-two punch to his tired body and Dynamight loosens one hand for a split second. Protest, demand, relief, who the fuck knows. No time now.] Pass it, Gari Head!
[And dashes forward, eyes focused on the kaiju while one hand reaches blindly towards Yuji, fully trusting him to get his sword into his grip so he can attack the creature in tandem with the sorcerer. Yell at him in a bit.]
no subject
With Bakugo moving so much closer, Yuji has to adjust and reach for his blade, tugging it free and twisting to hold it out hilt first. Unconcerned with the threat of accidentally cutting himself, he passes it to his friend before he breathes out and relaxes, trying to get himself back into the zone. It's all so easy, he thinks, working with someone who knows what they're doing, who's good at fighting, and he's a little surprised at how well he and Bakugo work together. Given how much they shout at each other, he'd expected the latter.
Dodging to the side, he shifts, ducking down; he bends back, almost as if to bend onto his hands and feet before he kicks. It's enough to make the kaiju jerk a little from the vibration, but then he's rolling around and pushing him back up to his feet. He's hoping to have kicked it towards Bakugo ready for the other guy to gut it a little bit, but he has no idea how this is going to go.
Slowly, he gets back up, arm wrapping around himself ready to draw his club when needed. ]

Back up! [ Shion calls from where he's stationed behind the gun, and the sight of a blind man with a firearm may not exactly be the most reassuring thing ever, but Shion himself seems perfectly calm. He fires again, catching the creature in nearly the same spot with the second shot despite the way it writhes around, sending it crashing back into the water.
He's already twisting the gun back out over the water, but Shion tips his head in Bakugo's direction, taking in the tired set of his body. ]
Can you find better footing? The large one is coming.
[ And sure enough, the ship underneath them rolls violently. ]
no subject
WHY THE FUCK IS A BLIND MAN FIRING A GUN?! ... Said blind man also played cards, rolled die, and used a sword. Why the hell would Shion not add shooting a fucking gun to his list of "should need sight but fuck it i'm blind" abilities. The second shot bullseyed into the first one like a legendary archer or sharpshooter only drives the damn point home.
Growling at being told to back up, Bakugo steps back, but only to give himself better footing. The creature above him is no longer, letting him have a moment to breathe as his body shudders through the intensity of his previous efforts. Cold, tired, wet, arms aching, sweat glands strained, probably bleeding somewhere. Fuck he could use a nap...
Apparently that's not going to happen and Bakugo slams his hand onto the nearby mast to brace himself as the ship pitches from side to side. Dammit! They have to deal with this bitch now!] Cover the crew until they get to safety!
[He's trusting those strangely-accurate blind eyes to keep watch.]
no subject
For a long moment, everything is quiet.
And then the ship underneath him nearly pitches completely sideways as the massive shachimon bursts out of the water. Shion is already firing before it finishes breaching, catching it just to the side of the eye, but anything else falls to the side as Shion finds himself gripping onto the gun for dear life to keep from sliding off. ]

Nanami picks a position he can tell is going to be along Bakugo's route jumping between yachts, and when the charges send one of the shachimon flying onto the deck closer to him, he follows after that with an attack of his own, slicing across the thick torso of the creature with his knife. He might as well take advantage of this chaos if Bakugo is going to blast the kaiju within range. Although, he also has to comment on the method: ]
You're enthusiastic. Do you fish like that?
[ Yelling and cursing out his prey, mainly. Not that it's not working, but it's definitely loud. The shachimon on the yacht is also shrieking as Nanami continues swinging at it and dodging the attempts at return strikes from its tail and large mouth, so between the monster and the hero alone it's a noisy battle. ]
no subject
Landing on another yacht, he ducks under a shachimon's claw swipe, runs a line of explosions along its arm to cripple it, and with another heavy explosion to the gut and push of his hand, more or less explosion judo flips the entire monster over his head and onto the deck with a resounding thud. Before he can capitalize on the toss, red carves across the glistening white skin and he finds himself facing...
What the fuck's a salary man doing out here? Yeah, of course he recognizes the guy is an Outsider like him, but... seriously? Maybe he's like Re-Destro; going to battle in a suit gives the air of confidence. Even if it does look fucking stupid.]
Haa?! You think I wanna scare the fucking fish away?! [One, no he does not fish like that, because he's usually quiet while waiting for something to bite. Two, hell yes he does fish like that, turning into a bombastic fighter as soon as the fish is hooked. Nanami can probably picture it easily.
Unfortunately, since the only contact he's had with Nanami is via text, he has no clue who this guy is.]

βΆ 003. OCEAN GEMS.
π₯ β Bombfish
[After one too many dunks in the water, either rescuing and fishing out those shitty extras from falling overboard or getting grabbed by Shachimon and dragged in, Dynamight's had about enough of the back and forth between cold+wet versus warm+dryish. His Quirk's being put through the wringer from the constant thermal shock and wiping sweat off his palms, his Explosions are already starting to hurt his arms, and he just fired the last harpoon from this fucking gun. Time to take this shit to them. After getting reassured the second time that the Ocean Gem tech isn't going to dig into his flesh or anything (permanently - he doesn't want a fucking "reward" sneak), Dynamight slaps the damn thing onto his forehead and dives into the water. The change is quick but FUCK is it uncomfortable! Not even going to ask where his costume and clothes went, because he certainly wasn't about to strip down on a yacht and go at this in the buff. But with the transformation done, Bakugo makes for a damn attractive merman. He gets lucky on the colors too.
Taking hold of the trident he got from the stock, Bakugo kicks forward, using the dolphin kick he learned in swimming practice to rapidly get the hang of how to work his new tail and fins. Also turns out his Explosion Quirk can still get some bursts down here thanks to the new additions, but it's not as strong as when used in the air. Plus mermen apparently don't sweat much... Tch. Doing this physically then. It's like an underwater minefield, just traveling. Spiraling around one of the Shachimon with a mixture of electrified stabs with the trident and muffled bursts and booms from his explosions, Bakugo's more than willing to take the fight to them in their own damn element. He focuses on their eyes and faces with his explosions, distracting with the light and concussive force to mess with sight and sonar, then uses the trident to aim for their tails and joints, looking to disable them before going in for the kill if he can't straight up OHKO them from the start. And if you happen to see him "riding" one via a hand around the dorsal fin with his other holding the trident aloft like some aquatic badass cowboy, lucky you. Maybe you can help him out if you happen upon him getting driven backwards through the water with his trident wedged in the Shachimon's mouth.]
no subject
Through gritted teeth, Raidou refuses to let go. If he does, it'll be harder to get his weapon back.]
no subject
It's bellowing in the water, contracting and thrashing. Instantly he wrenches his trident free of its palate and jerks backwards among the cold ocean. Someone else? In the sparking coils of lightning, he catches a familiar face (and even more distinct sideburns). Crowning atop a very billowy set of fins...]
Nice ball gown, Shashou! Hold it tight! [Meaning his weapon. Bakugo swims and swings in, crashing his trident into the creature's head and sending it roiling in the ocean. Should at least allow Raidou to pull his weapon free.]

βΆ 004. MEDICAL BAY.
π₯ β Ship Defense
Don't fuck with me! [Amid the revolving tornado of flames, Dynamight crashes down against the kaiju like a missile, blowing the Shachimon away from the red-coated ship. Water splits around the creature's body as it plunges into the waves and Dynamight lands on the deck, buckling at one knee before slamming his foot into the ground to stop himself from collapsing. Bastard. Apparently it's not just a lumbering behemoth. Smart enough to figure out there's a host of injured prey within this ship, and now it's actively hunting them. Why the hell doesn't the ship move? At least it can make itself a somewhat less sitting duck. Cursing under his breath, Dynamight launches forward and renews the defense against another kaiju trying to clamor aboard. As to whoever he's working with-] Get to the one on the bow!
π₯ β Dynamight Down
[Blood. It feels hot over his skin, a contrast from the cold water he's been in and out of for days now. Dynamight kicks the creature over the side of the ship, backing off and gripping at his shoulder. Bad choice for that bastard, trying to take his entire arm off. Didn't know there was a fucking grenade on the end of it, did you? He glares down at the stream running over his torso. Teeth marks where it'd chomped on him. Not deep enough to reach something fatal, but it's going to risk some bruised bones and pierce wounds. He can still move his shoulder, but the loss of blood mixed with the activity and cold water is going to fuck with him in the long term.] Tch... Move. This is nothing. [He's dealt with worse. Dynamight grabs a nearby windbreaker and rips it with his teeth and hand, tearing the item into a few strips to start fashioning a crude bandage for the wound. Just give him a minute, then he'll be right back to business.]
Dynamight Down
denji retracts the chainsaws in both arms, crumbling to tiny pieces as he steps closer, breath heavy and covered in his and the kaiju's blood. it was hard to read his expression behind that helmet, but he was quiet ... as if he was trying to figure out just how bad the injury was. bakugou can still move his shoulder, nothing was broken in sight, just a really bad open wound and plenty of lost blood. it was too much and still gushing. ]
... Yeah, you're not going anywhere.
[ the hero won't last ten minutes out there without passing out and getting snatched as an easy meal. the fact he was stubborn enough to pretend he can keep fighting does not surprise denji. he holds his hands up, gesturing for the other to slow down. ]
You need a medic. No more blasties for you.
no subject
those thoughts are easy to have, but... as he watches his own blood leaking down his arm and sliding off his fingers, he's left wondering for a single mortal moment about whether he's going to be in any state to do any ass murdering. dynamight's lucky his arm didn't get bitten clean off, but the damage is going to make further motion of that arm agonizing. if not also aggravating what damage it did. the oddly-familiar-now revving of chainsaws brings his attention away from the windbreaker he's ripping into and up to denji as the half-devil approaches him. yeah, fucking impossible to reach his expression behind that chainsaw-engine head of his. but considering what he knows of the guy's powers, this battlefield is well-suited to him. any damage he takes, provided it's not instantly fatal, can be recovered just by biting into whatever hurt him. it's a fucking orca sushi feast for chainsaw man.]
Urusei-! [dynamight's rough voice is strained from so much cold air and further tightened by the buildup of labor already and the pain right now. he doesn't need denji tending to him like he's some fucking invalid. once he gets this bandage around his arm, he'll be good to go again. a harsh jerk of his head tears the fabric between his teeth as he rips another strip out of the jacket.] I can still fight. The medics can focus their attention on people who need them more.

[This time, Ren has Odin at his back. His various Personas mean he can play just about any role in a fight: attacker, defender, supporter, or even healer, and that leaves him darting wherever he's needed most. And he has range; he can hit a target from a distance, as long as the target isn't moving too much. He directs Odin towards the still half-submerged kaiju ("Ravage them!") and hits it dead on with a massive shock of lightning. It screams, peeling away from the ship.]
How are you doing over there?
[He calls that over his shoulder; he only caught Bakugo's stumble out of the corner of his eye, quick enough he may not have seen correctly.]
no subject
Fucking fine! Focus on your own side! [Dynamight twists around, goes down on one knee to brace against the rocking ship, and hauls his hand up, palm out, towards a Shachimon poking its head over the boat's railing. Concentrate, compress, aim-] AP Shot! [-and punches a beam of explosive energy into the creature's open mouth, through its palate, and out the top of its head. Inverse blowhole bullseye.]

βΆ 005. THE CALM AFTER THE STORM.
π₯ β Grenangel
[Now that he has time to reflect on it, the technological activation all over Neo Tokyo to move buildings and shut down bunkers reminds him a lot of what U.A. did to protect the people sheltering within it during the war. Though that meant the buildings that remained standing were left to the ravages of the kaiju battle. He noticed them before, but focusing on that while the much-larger threat raged out in the waters... Tough decisions.
Yet he came back to it eventually. While most of the injuries he got during the battle have been healed or at least patched up, not everything's gone, and Bakugo pulls through the irritation as he wades through the cold waters to find people leaking out of the flooded buildings, joins the boats skirting through the bay to locate those still clinging to yachts or even kaiju carcasses for flotation, or blasts his way to rooftops to help stranded civilians waiting for rescue.
However... not one's going to say that Dynamight is the most friendly of heroes, barking orders at the survivors to stop making shit difficult or yelling at those who made foolish decisions to stay put when they should've evacuated or want to prioritize something material rather than getting their damn lives saved. Who wants a saving angel yelling at them to shut the hell up and grab on or die? If other Outsiders want to try and step in to pacify the explosive occurrence... good luck to you. At least he's good at his intents!]
π₯ β Downtime
[Bakugo will only return to the main base once there is no more need of him out in the field. He will resist the call to return until those working the search and rescue efforts assure him there's nothing else he can do. Only then will he go back. You can find him in the main base doing a number of things: (1) getting a shower or bath - hopefully hot, or else he'll heat up his own bath, thanks. (2) getting something to eat, so either scarfing down rations provided or if he's had some time to rest, making something himself. (3) resting, first night being too tired to even change so just end up face down on the bed or crashed somewhere in full costume, probably a good chance to sleep beside him for warmth without getting your head bitten off. (4) talking about the event, likely grumpy and keeping it brief.]
grenangel
They aren't going to be moving any faster when you scare them stiff like that!

You know, those who aren't going white in the face because this explosive asshole is yelling at them.]
